Okay, I don't really know who to blame on this so I am going to blast Sony and Dice. Bad Company has no mute feature. I cannot tell you how many times I load that game up and some moron has the tv too loud so I hear everything twice coming through my OWN tv or headset. BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHER PEOPLE, I get on my mic and tell them to turn the tv down or turn the mic off if they are not going to be communicating to people in the game or I send a message via psn to the person and NO ONE RESPONDS. SONY: PUT A MUTE PLAYER FEATURE ON PSN. DICE: PUT A MUTE PLAYER FEATURE IN BAD COMPANY (like Warhawk has). Seriously, people.
I Second that! There is no reason why Sony can't implement some universal mute feature as apart of its online infrastructure that can be applied in any game.

Eh I actually think its easier for the user if the mute feature is in-game. I say point the blame at Bad Company for having what i assume is an open-mic system with no mute system.
It makes me wish that it was a requirement to support both 'Always on' and 'Press to talk' chat options in all online PSN games. Otherwise, buy damn headsets that have a mute button built-in. >.
The great thing about SOCOM is if you have all that background noise going on, it tends to give away your position. And of course the SOCOM headset has a mute button.
