Turtle Beach P21s vs. X31s?

Hey guys, I was just looking for your opinion. I have a PS3, but I was thinking about getting the Turtle Beach X31s because at Best Buy they are being sold for $39.99. The P21s, however, cost $79.99. So if I get the X31s I am saving over $40 after taxes, and I am a little short on money now, (I only have $80 :?) but my parents are willing to loan me some money because of the taxes. Now, the downside. I can't go on chat. I am not usually on chat much since I don't play online in my other games (Sorry, I don't regularily play MW2 :P) Anyways, what are your thoughts on this? Are the X31s not even compatible with PS3 and am I totally wrong? Would I look like a noob with them? I need your feedback, guys! Thanks in advance :)

i have the P21 and i love that thing!!! yeah its wired but i never have to worry about it being charged. being able to control the game's sound, chat sound, and mute or unmute all on a little board that i can clip to anywhere!! plus games have sounded so good to me! just mute my tv and turn up the speakers as loud as i want! get the P21 there worth it.

The XLCs will not work on the PS3 they are a 360 headset. The P21's are good they have a good amount of adjustments for treble and bass. Though they start to bug me after 2 hours and I dont want to wear them anymore, also they feel very cheap and mine broke along with alot of other peoples from what I have read (if you get them get the warranty). I would suggest the Tritton AX 180s though because they are about the same price and are alot better quality wise and probably the most comfortable headset I have ever worn, even a 5 hour gaming session was not a problem.wooooode

If you do not chat at all on the PS3, then you can get the wireless X31/X41 for listening to game audio, no problem. However, your best bet would be to wait a couple weeks for the release of the new PX21, you can use it on anything and it looks pretty sick. My cousin rocks the P21s and loves them so I can only imagine these are that much better:

They also got all the features like micmonitor and chat boost that the trittons don't have.
