Anyone own one of these headsets?

I'm looking to upgrade to a better headset than the Bluetooth headset I'm currently using. Most of the reviews look pretty good, but I'd love feedback from anyone that actually owns one.

Also, is anyone aware of any headsets that offer 5.1 simulated surround sound?

By the way, 20% off most accessories at Gamestop. Use coupon code 20ACC.

as far as a headset that offers simulated 5.1 surround sound, there are the tritton ax pros, but gaming headsets cant come close to the sound quality of a good pair of stereo headphones. id recommend getting the astro mixamp and a pair of audio technica ad700s along with a zalman clip on mic or califone neck mic. it might be more than you're willing to spend, but the sound quality is amazing. you hear every sound in the game, and with the mixamp you can tell exactly where enemies are coming from. i prefer my mixamp/k601 setup over my surround sound system.

well not a lot of people own them because they are a steep budget and as for the 5.1 your gonna have to get the highest end of Tritton Headsets to get it because te PX21s are only regular

Here are your best bets for PS3 headsets:

PX21 - Awesome expanded stereo sound, full featured, great headset:

You could also buy the wireless X31 and X41 headsets (the X41 is Dolby 7.1 surround sound, best gaming headset on the market). They recenetly released the adapter so thatt you can use the chat on PS3 and PC:

I had a pair for a day. The right side didn't work and there was an audible buzz.

this is correct. they are an outstanding headset! the inline amp can really crank out some sound without rattling the walls or disturbing the wife and kids. the surround sound aspect is great as well, and the chat feature works perfectly. An excellent purchase for the ps3 experience.

But does anyone know how to solve the sound only coming out of one ear?

I have connected it to both a PC and a PS3 and sound only out of left ear piece.

This occurred straight from unpacking out of the box.

Any ideas anyone? I will return it for a refund in the morning.

Having the EXACT same problem. Just unpacked, hooked up... only audio on the right side. Tried it on my PC, same thing. Looked online and found this. A little frustrated - Best Buy had better let me exchange or return.

EDIT - Late Entry -

You'll be happy with the Stereo T.B. PX21's; they sound great & are highly rated.

Surround requires a Digital to Analog Converter, so add at least another $75.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS will give the PX21's Dolby Pro Logic II / Dolby Headphone surround.
