Tutorial Boss in Demon Souls

Has anyone here ever tried beating him?

Actually it is possible, I was able to dodge his 1st Axe swing and damagedhim quite ALOT but i died...He (or She) has somewhat less health than the one you meet in 4-1...

Hes beatable. You are actually rewarded for beating him.

If you do beat him he will not appear in the level you see him.

You get some good items too and you get to see the Old One as he kills u. True you are meant to die.

if you beat him you get a gripless katana I think. useless weapon. you eventually die by the big dragon in the tutorial level tho.

Man I loved that game.

Of all the hours I put into Demon's Souls, this is something I've still yet to try. :(raven_squad
