I wanted to purchase a new tv for the PS4 (as well as for cable tv) since what I have now is a 32 inch 720p. I found this tv (http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-LED39B45RQ-39-1080p-60Hz-Class-LED-3.4-ultra-slim-HDTV/24857318) from walmart and it's only $300. It has 6.5ms which is the lowest I found for that price range.

Will it be decent for PS4 gaming?

I don't know mulch about the correlation between TVs and video games. But, if you are going to upgrade your tv, i would do more than upgrade 7". If you don't want to spend the money for a name brand, vizios are really nice for their price. I play on a sony 42" and it is beautiful. Also, since you want your tv for the PS4, it would be worth waiting until black friday to get one. the tv deals are insane. I wouldn't bother going for the ones that say "at least 5 per store" but a couple years ago when i went out walmart had lots of their tvs on black friday.

What brand is your current TV? If it's a low budget one then the RCA should be a nice upgrade but if it's a nice Samsung or Panasonic then you might end up with a slightly more stretched image that is of worse quality.

It's a Dynex. Lol. I like name-brands but sometimes can't afford them.

Reason I don't want too big of a size is that my bedroom isn't that big. I think I can go 42' max. Yeah black friday sounds good actually, kind of forgotten about that.
