Twisted Metal Score. Your Guess? and how many of you preordered it?

How much do you think will Twisted Metal score on gamespot? Though i know it is not necessary for a game to have a good score to play it coz i remember there are games which received mediocre scrores and i still enjoyed them. My guess is at least it will get 9. i still havent preordered it.

I hope I'm wrong, but I see no higher than a 7, maybe more like a 6 to 6.5... It looks tired already, and I'm a TM nut (perhaps that's part of the problem for me, I'm jaded by too many stinkery-doos in the franchise history.

I too hope MonkeySpot you are wrong pal coz i haven't played twisted metal at all uptill now and seeing the scores in the series i wish i can enjoy this game. So lets hope we all can enjoy this game.

Unless it's by accident or the reviewer is hopped up on flu medication, there's no way in hell Twisted Metal gets a 9.
If it get's an 8, I'd say that's damn generous.
Realistically? I'm predicting it'll get somewhere around a 7, plus or minus a .5, and the rabid fans - the ones who'd give the game a 9 just for being Twisted Metal, regardless of how it looks or plays - will spew their typical vitriol at the reviewer in the comments section.

I've loved most of the Twisted Metal games, but even I can admit that the graphics have always been pretty subpar (well below what the system was capable of), the controls typically had quirks that had to be forgiven, and the gameplay is fairly shallow and repetitive. And it doesn't look like the new TM is straying too far from those roots. Doesn't mean the game won't still be a helluva lot of fun, because I'm sure it will be, but fun alone doesn't earn a high score.

And, no, I didn't preorder it. But, to be fair, I never preorder games and only very rarely purchase any game upon its release. So, my lack of preorder is in no way a reflection on my expectations for the game.

I think it will score 7/10

G4 said in their preview thats it's possibly the best online game this gen. I went and traded MW3 in to put tward a pre order. I've never played a Twisted Metal game but I think it look pretty cool. I'm just sick of all the same old war stuff.

I see it getting an 8 or a 7.5 here at Gamespot... I'd love to pre order it, and I could've today actually, but I've spent my money on other games. If I get a job before it's released I'll definitely pre order it (and the Vita).

Which it has, and infinitely better, I'm sure. I gotta tell ya, to me this just reeks of Jaffe hitting rock-bottom in the creativity department and giving in to incessant questioning at every E3 & GDC as to when he's going to "return" to the series. I don't need anything the new game has to offer. I'm REALLY not interested in the online aspect, I can tell you that for sure (more and more these days, MP has got to be in the same room, in slugging distance - Microphone-brave racist homophobics are more than tired). So if that's the big selling point, and after that it's just TM3 or some other gawd-awful regurgitation, I'm gonna laugh my ass off. There's already been some promotional miss-steps, like the Sweetooth driving out on stage stunt, which scream desperation.

I'm hopeful, but far from convinced. Either way it goes, I wouldn't pay any more than about $15-$20us for a copy. I have "BLACK" and all the rest of the games, with the exception of TM3, which I literally threw away when trade-in value was nil. I have a feeling that this game will be like all the others (there doesn't appear to be anything really new or inspired about it from what I've seen), just having added online play, leaderboards, and HD graphics this time around is not a free pass to my wallet.
