1. They released an update to fix some past issues so there should be no problems at all with PS2 games online with PS3. For the record, I've never had a problem with any PS2 game online with my PS3.

2. You make your PSN ID when you log on for the first time.

1.Every update released will expand the PS1 and PS2 games library so dont worry about it!

2. Once you log on for the first time, go to Network, there should me Sign Up For PLAYSTATION Network
