two questions about Battlefield: Bad Company

I was wandering firstly: Can you shoot through walls with normal bullets like in COD:4?

secondly: i only have about 300kb/s internet speed on my PS3 will i still be able to play online without any hastle?

well i have played army of two with lag and without and i played metal gear solid online premier without any trouble at all im also planning on buying warhawk but that is besides the point
