I think part of why I dislike the Assasins Creed games is that I've felt cheated from the get-go with this franchise...

I love me a good stealth game and was psyched about setting up cool stealth kills in Assasins Creed... You are an assasin after all and you Assasinate targets...

But there's just no need to assasinate anything and there's no danger in getting caught, at most the guards are a nuisance that you flee from because you don't have the energy to hold block and counter for 10 minutes...

There's so much potential in the Assasins Creed games but they only utilize a very small part of that potential, the story is pretty good but they don't tell it very well but all of that I can work around if they'd just give me a goddamn ASSASINS game:P

Give me a game where getting caught and surrounded by 11 guards means you have to flee for your life... OR change the name already to "Historic ass-kicking action game" or something.

Your post seems unexplained which makes it a bit hard to understand your point of view.

However, I do agree with this:

There's so much potential in the Assasins Creed games but they only utilize a very small part of that potential

The AC games have always been at the top of my list of most ovverated games of all time. Mediocre games, seriously.

Because this Assassin's Creed, not Hitman. The Assassins are highly trained agents who are adept at dealing with some random guards and escape. So demanding to be challenged by some nameless goons, is like demanding Batman be challenged by some random goons in the Arkham series. These people have no chance against them, that's the point, all their guards are suppose to be is a minor inconvenience. The point of the series is setting up great kills, of course its gotten a bit blockbuster-y with Ezio burning down cities and all, but the point remains the same. Its about scrambling up the side of a building to get that guy hiding in the tower, not dying every time someone lays eyes on you.

so you want more challenging game with greater stealth mechanics, like MGS4

hopefully they do make the AC franchise more challenging, i even tested the games difficulty by leaving my character standing in the middle of like 12 guards, it took me 30 mins to die

haha lol ^^ Yeah it's an extremly easy game, but I still enjoy it. They should add a difficulty setting with something like *extrem hard* where one hit kills you

ya i enjoy it too, but sometimes its just way to easy, in ACB you could kill so many guards in one minute lol, didnt pose a challenge in combat at all. i agree they should add several difficulty levels like in MGS4. im trying to play the game on THE BOSS EXTREME, and omg its so hard!

Sooo. . .what you are really saying is they should game-play, not the name, right? In any case, the game sells like hotcakes and Ubi is not gonna turn away from, or alienate fans of the franchise. Regardless of what you, me or anybody else think.

An assassin is a person who kills a specific target. It has nothing to do with how stealthy they are. I agree about your other points though.

Actually that the combat consists of tedious blocking and countering for several minutes shows that said nameless goons are a match for Altair/Enzo. Were they no match for them then they could be dispatched quickly and easily.

No they really shouldn't change the title. Judging from what you wrote, you don't seem like you're the right age to play the games anyway.

This is my biggest problem with the AC games. They're a total cakewalk.
