UFC Undisputed 2009 or Fight Night Round 4?? Pick one

[QUOTE="Dysantic"]Fight night. No contest... The UFC demo was horrendous from so many aspects. Fight night is a tried and true formula that delivers every time. Plus, UFC is gaybigburdcare to elaborate on how the UFC demo is horrendous and how the UFC is homosexual?
Oh boy, here we go again. I will give you one post to explain my statement because I am not in the mood to get in an argument about this... It's not worth it.
A "sport" where the heavyweight champion owns a record of 3-1-0 is not something I look at and respect. Brock Lesnar gets a title shot after doing absolutely nothing to really earn it? Come on! The entire system is just a bunch of BS thats tries to, (and somehow succeeds) in cashing in on freakshows. (Kimbo Slice anyone?)
Now, after explaining how the actual system of the UFC is severely flawed, lets get into the actual fighting. A fight where 2 grown men use techniques such as "mounting" and continually grope eachother all fight is not appealing to me. A fight where all they do is roll around on the floor grabbing at eachother in order to get the other one to "submit" is not fun to watch at all. I know they stand up and box, but honestly how many times do they stand up all fight and actually just duke it out. They spend most of the fight rolling around trying to hit second base on eachother.
Aside from the sport itself, the UFC game in its entirety is just broken. To make a game like fight night where you stand up and fight with just your hands is not hard to do at all. Fight night is an amazing franchise. But when you try to incorporate boxing, kickboxing and wrestling in one game it just doesn't work. I don't think it even works in real life but thats just me. To do it in a video game is just as useless.
So you can read that up and post whatever rebuttal you want, I've heard them all and not one has changed my mind on what the UFC is or ever will be. I'm actually surprised that most people here so far would actually pick boxing considering how completely rediculous most UFC fans are when it comes to looking at both sports.

i can see where your coming from, but it basically boils down to that you dont know whats going on, bout the same as a someone who likes soccer watching american football. Also i have a feeling that you have been dealing with the casual "ZOMG BROCK LESNAR IZ TEH BEST!!!!!!" UFC fan. I dont like or respect lesnar, nor do that many MMA fans. It was an outrage when he got a title shot, but the reason he got that shot is because he is a big draw, thats it.care to elaborate on how the UFC demo is horrendous and how the UFC is homosexual?[QUOTE="bigburd"][QUOTE="Dysantic"]Fight night. First, I beg you, BEG YOU, to go to any Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy and call them homosexuals. I'm not a fan of Brock Lesnar at all, but comparing him to Kimbo Slice is stupid. He's a legitimate NCAA champion wrestler, and is a fantastic athlete. HE didn't deserve the title shot, but he got it because of his fame. Big deal. To say all they do is roll around is ignorant at best. Try watching the sport.
And to say ground technique and striking skills don't work together?! WTF?! Do you know what you're talking about at all?!? Professional fighters must have robust standing and ground technique, or they lose. IF all you can do is box, I can take you down and make you tap out. IF you only know how to grapple, I can resist the takedowns and destroy you on the feet. That's how real fights work too.
I'll get Fight Night the moment it comes out. I liked the previous game, but felt only thing it's really missing is the in-fighter style. They got it now, so that makes it must buy for me
not to mention Tyson vs Ali is too juicy for me to pass up.
UFC... I'll buy it once I start farting out gold.
I'm a fan of both sports, and I'm buying both games, but as a bigger fan of MMA than boxing, UFC is the one I anticipate the most.
As for the UFC is gay comment above, grow up. Really, that is just a pathectically immature thing to say.
cmon guys he is probably like 10 or something dont get mad at the kid :)I'm a fan of both sports, and I'm buying both games, but as a bigger fan of MMA than boxing, UFC is the one I anticipate the most.

I admire your words, hillelslovak, but when someone acts like a homophobe, or is just biased and uninformed, you're really just wasting your time because they are beyond reason and your words fall of deaf ears.

Well said but I doubt he will listen to anything you said. His whole post reeks of ignorance about anything MMA. Here's the difference between Brock and Kimbo, Brock has fought two former UFC Champs and a extremely tough Heath Herring. While Kimbo has fought washed up cans.[QUOTE="hillelslovak"]First, I beg you, BEG YOU, to go to any Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy and call them homosexuals. I see you are a boxing fan boy. It's too bad you can't enjoy a good fight. Go watch Manhoef vs cyborg and tell me that MMA is gay Best stand up fight perhaps EVER?
The fact that you think MMA is a broken sport shows you have no idea what you are talking about.
You also bring up the point about brock lesnar being the heavywieght champ with a rec of 3 and 1. Well, so? The heavyweight dviision is the weakest division in MMA. The fact remains though that even thoguh his record is only 3-1 ... the guy is a freak and dominated one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. Randy couture. He also broke heath herrings eye socket with one punch! Brock is legit.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
Personally .. I'm loving the UFC demo ..
UFC is going to be my first love for a long time .. .. everything about the game is nothing but pure fun, I'll be getting this before even thinking of another game. Can't wait to create Junie Browning and dominate the Lightweight Division .. ;)
Fight Night I will probably get because finally they have a good roster (maybe a couple choices I wouldn't have made but the number is great). But I won't if they kept the haymakers .. man those were so stupid, could walk in at the beginning of the fight, throw a haymaker and rock them .. made it not so fun. Hopefully it won't be in Round 4 ..
Will probably get both, but UFC is on my radar, it's new and fresh, and I think THQ did a great job on the first installment .. can't wait .. :)
I've already preordered UFC. I can guarantee that game will be amazing. So definitely out of the two I would say UFC. But I will most likely be picking up Fight Night.CONMAN999PSLOL, my friend actually preordered it in november or something......for 80 dollars.

cmon guys he is probably like 10 or something dont get mad at the kid :) His argument is pretty good way better than what a kid could com up with. I think MMA sucks as well (Sport not game) I haven't tried the game. Now Thai fighting that's a real sport that's the game we need.[QUOTE="hillelslovak"]First, I beg you, BEG YOU, to go to any Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy and call them homosexuals.
