ugh...uncharted is just unplayable right now!!!

so i kept hearing about how update 3.00 screwed up bioshock and uncharted and making them freeze alot...so i was worried about playing uncharted, but i bought it anyway

chapters 1-3 for me worked great, very smooth

but now chapter 4...just wow, it's frozen like 5 times in the past 20 minutes (i'm very persistant) and i can only take like 20-30 steps before it freezes once again

i love this game...just got it yesterday and i wanna play it, but right now i can't

ugh...sony needs to start making these updates better....updates are supposed to make the system better and fix bugs...not add bugs

Stop whining here. Play something else in the meantime until a patch is ready since you already know there's a problem. Go cry on the official ps3 forums , thanks.

I didn't install 3.00 ( I didn't evenknow anything about it until recently when I come to forums). I've just bought a Slim and just popped inUncharted to play it.

I think that if you installed the gameafter the 3.00 firmware, the game freezes. I bought the game the day before the firmware came out and the game still works.

I got it after the update, and it's been fine. I'm thinking it's a slim thing.

If you installed the version 1.10 (trophy) update for Uncharted previous to updating to the latest firmware, then you will have no problems. This is not a PS3 Slim issue as some people claim, as people who got the system early via Gamestop and downloaded Uncharted 1.10 before firmware 3.0 was available will have no issues. If for any reason you try to play a new game post firmware 3.0 with or without 1.10 however, the game WILL freeze on you. This affects everyone who meets that criteria. For me, I can't even get into the first temple. It freezes at the exact same moment, same spot, same line of dialogue from Sully. This is really ridiculous. I feel bad for people who buy the marked down 160GB systems that come bundled with Uncharted. They are going to get it home, hook it up, update the system, and find out the included game just doesn't freaking work.

Those guys are going to be pissed. Why can't Sony or MS update their systems without breaking something? Seriously? Christ, I'm actually tempted to get a Wii now.

I had it freeze on me once at the jeep bit, jsut got it also :). I'm more annoyed that i started my game without connecting to the internet for updates so now im not getting any trophies on the run trhough which is a tad annoying.

This is not true, I have an 80gig and tried playing with and without the 1.01 update and Uncharted froze on me several times both ways.

Yeah me too, chapter 4 after the firefight in the courtyard area right before the second steel gate it has frozen on me 4 times now, kinda pissed because I am really enjoying the game so far. It's kinda like a good Indiana Jones game but I'm kinda frustrated now. Does anyone know if you can get lucky and play through this somehow?

Really? and you installed 3.01 hmm weird because i just played and beat uncharted the other day and had no issues.. maybe delete the data, that could help (has for other games) but then you lose your progress..

I just bought bioshock. My brother and I both played through it without a single problem. So you should be fine with Bioshock
