UMD-less PSP

Anyone else know that there is to be a UMD-less PSP in the works for 2009?

I'm excited! I think it should feature like 15GB Memory, and a UMD drive that hooks up via USB so you can copy your UMDs to the memory (stick).

Besides the article states that the author didn't think that Sony would do it in 2009....assuming they do it at all.

Isnt it illegal to put games on the psp without the umd?

well i guess thats gonna change in 09..

does this mean they will stop selling the UMD's in the shops?
