Does it have 1080p listed in the resolution list, though? If you left the settings the same as when you had the 1080i TV, then 1080p wouldn't have been set automatically. You'll have to add it.

Uh yes its selected, if it wasn't it wouldn't matter because then the Blu-rays would play in 1080i as they did on my old TV. When I got everything hooked up I went over to the display settings and selected HDMI and selected Automatic for the resolutions. All of them were selected, I even went back and did it custom and tried having 1080p not selected. Still nothing, now its back to all resolutions selected.
That TV cant accept 1080p signals so change it back to 1080i.bunchofpixels
What TV? The 55A3000? Because thats my new one...my old one is a XBR1 and I know that TV doesnt accept 1080p signal.
Anyways I think it something with the PS3 because when I turn off the console the green light flashes for awhile then it gives me 3 quick beeps and then turns off.....does anyone know what the heck that means?
Turn on the system by holding down the power button on the actual PS3... hold it down till it beeps. It takes like 6 seconds and it will reset the display settings.
If it still doesn't work, call the store or consult the manual of the TV to ensure you do have the proper resoulutions.
