Umm why isnt my Vita turning on? 0_o

I wasnt home for the passed 3 days so i wasnt able to charge my Vita (it was on sleep mode) so when i got home i charged my Vita. when i plug in the charger a orange light blinks about 5 times then stops, so i just assumed it was still charging it..but an Hour went by and it doent want to turn on! (yes im holding the power button) so i unplug the cord and re-plug it in again and it does the same thing (orange light blinks 5 times then stops) wait another hour and still nothing! WTF!

PS: okay it just turned on for 5 seconds then turned off...im scared :cry:

mines did that too, I did a simple google search and found the problem, i would do it for you but i'm about to head out.

does the orange lamp keep blinking or just stops completely after the 5 blink?danish-death

okay its on now but the Battery statis bar is on red and even with the charger plugged in it still remains on red and doesn't show it charging..i tried 4 different outlets in my house but it still stays on red...so i guess its either the charger cord that the Vita came with no longer works OR the Vita's charging socket is broken LP4EVA2005

it just might need to charge, if u let the battery die and plug it in, you have to let it charge for a min or 2 be4 itll turm on

Try to hold the power button for a few seconds. You should get the recovery menu, then fix ur PSV.

Had this problem if the battery is very flat you cannot turn the Vita on for aprox 30mins while on charge. If this does not work you can hold the power button down for 30sec to 1min after charging. If that dont work call sony
