Hey guys. I just got my ps3 and my current game catalogue is:

COD MW2

GTA IV

InFamous

Batman Arkham Asylum

and Fifa 10.

For christmas, obviously going to wish for some new games, probably a max or two since 3/4's of those are $60.00 titles. What would you guys recommend? I didn't really give killzone a look, but after watching some videos, the graphics are insane, even compared to COD.Can I play local multiplayer with bots and ect with my friends? COD doesn't do that and really limits the fun if it's only two people...

I have a lot of sin/gle player games, so I'm a little unsure which game to get. Like the look of Assassin's Creed, but it kind of reminds me of InFamous. What do you guys think

I suggest either Uncharted 2 or Assassin's Creed. Killzone 2 is just another shooter, like MW2, and MW2 is better. Metal Gear Solid is good, but it won't last you very long, as the game without cutscenes can be played through in under 5 hours, and the online is set up pretty poorly, even if it is fun for a little.

MGS4 is a must have Killzone was rubbish imo, annoying gameplay and poor multiplayer Uncharted is good but assassins creed 2 is longer and gameplay is pretty similar (apart from different timelines) I'd also suggest either Dragon Age/ Fallout 3 GOTY or Oblivion GOTY too, as they will keep you occupied for a long time.

I haven't played Uncharted 2 or MGS4 but I have seen people playing both and heard reviews about both. All the games you have suggested require that you play the preceding ones in the series, I hope you're willing to invest the time. Otherwise you will be missing some points of the story, esspecially for MGS4 and ACII Depending on what you want I would reccomend ACII and Uncharted 2 for some really good action games and for a long game time value. Killzone 2 is an amazing shooter. If you're looking for a great shooter I would choose this one. Killzone online multiplayer is essentially dead now and the game campaign is amazingly fun, but a little bit on the short side. Unless you have played the previous MGS games I wouldn't recommend MGS4 as you won't be able to follow the story at all. (I wasn't able to). My own personal order: 1 or 2. ACII (high replay value, immersive sandbox gameplay. No online available) 2 or 1. Uncharted 2 (great single player game. Fantastic visuals and storyline. No sandbox elements. Fun online available) 3. Killzone 2 (good story but not amazing. Great graphics and a fun shooter with very interesting levels. Online available but dwindling) 4. MGS4 (amazing epic story ending if you have played the previous ones. Dead online and not really as exciting as the others for gameplay, in my opinion) Hope that helps.

The gameplay is similar??? Uncharted 2 uses guns and is linear, Assassin's Creed has swords and is open world... And Uncharted 2 has online, which makes its replay value indefinite.

Yes gameplay is similar i stated the timeline difference, and both games require you to climb buildings 90% of the time. UC's online is ooor, very few people and the gameplay isnt exactly fantastic

Uncharted 2 is really nothing like Assassin's Creed II. ACII is an open world stealth-assassin game, Uncharted 2 is a linear action/adventure-shooter.

And Uncharted 2's online is very good and addicting.

What exactly makes uncharted 2 so enjoyable? Not denying that it's a great game...but the shooting mechanics don't look all that fu, though it's advantage of online vs. assassin's creed is definitely appealling.

But maybe I should get Assassin's Creed and Uncharted 2 for xmas. Is it really worth playing the previous games before it? Both I'm sure were good games but seem to have definitive flaws, such as AC being repetative and etc.

I own MGS4, Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2.

All three have online. Their all pretty different online experiences to be honest.

Uncharted 2 has the best single player experience although i still haven't beat Killzone 2. MGS4 single player will last you the longest. Killzone 2 and Uncharted2 (and 1) have trophies if thats your thing.

I think Killzone 2 is different enough (gameplay wise) from MW2 to give it a shot.

Never played Assassin's Creed 2 yet but it looks like a great game as well.

Killzone 2 has outstanding OMFG graphics and great multiplayer, and Uncharted 2 has outstanding OMFG graphics, good multiplayer, outstanding co-op, a great story, great lengthy campaign, and great sound effects and voice acting. Both are great choices but U2 is a better game than Killzone 2.

If you want a good local multiplayer game, then don't buy any of those. However, if you want a good single player, every game mentioned is equal in greatness, and you should just pick the one that appeals to you the most with its story and/or setting.

I don't even think that Assassin's Creed or Uncharted 2 have local multiplayer, and I know MGS4 doesn't.Warhawk is a good game for local multiplayer. (So is Fifa, which you already have) Lord of the Rings: Conquest got pretty bad reviews but I really liked it. It has local multiplayer with bots, plus it is under $20 now.

here is the only thing you should do, get both MGS4 and Uncharted 1 (no spelling mistake, I ment ONE, UNO) at a low price or used, or even rent Uncharted 1, and buy AC2, or Uncharted 2 depending on how much you liked 1.

What multiplayer game wouild you suggest for the ps3? I already have Modern Warfare 2...but other than that I'm unsure of a good multiplayer game for the ps3. Though I did choose the ps3 over the xbox because I'm more into single player gaming

i only have experience with Uncharted 2, MGS4, and Killzone 2 out of that list, but they're all excellent titles.

Uncharted 2 has a wonderful Single player, with beautiful environments, and great story telling. It has great replay value by adding a store where you can purchase and use any weapons, use different skins, add tweaks like mirror world slow/fast motion, and other things. It has a very fun multiplayer as well. It even has a machinima mode. Co-op is a blast to play. No local multiplayer though.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is excellent. If you liked the other MGS games you'll definitely want this. The cut scenes are pretty lengthy but the gameplay is very fun, and has plenty of replay value by adding extra gadgets, weapons and gear for the next play through. Add Metal Gear Online, and its an amazing game. Although Metal Gear Online isn't as easily accessible as other multiplayer games, it's alot of fun when you get the hang of it.

Killzone 2has a fun action packed single player. The story is decent, but the character development wasn't that great and even made certain scenes less powerful. It's definitely the best looking first person shooter out there. The first person cover system works really well. The true joy of the game though is from the multiplayer. It's class based with 6 different classes excluding the soldier. Each is handled differently and has their pros and cons. They're all quite balanced though the assualt class is debatable. The level design is amazing. They're all very fun and balanced. The way the matches are set up is also interesting. Instead of playing just one match type then playing a different game, it strings together all match types so right when one finishes another one starts up. Its very fun. I personally prefer KZ2 over MW2

Some good local multiplayer? I would go for LittleBigPlanet, if that appeals to you. Very fun with some friends. If you're into shooters, the best LOCAL multiplayer would have to be Call of Duty: World at War. It has good Co-Op Campaign and Nazi Zombies is brilliant, but only two players sadly. Honestly though, some really fun games (that I find anyway) are fighting games. I am terrible at them, but it's really fun to kick it with some buddies on Tekken 6 or Marvel vs Capcom 2. If you want a good single player experience, it varies, honestly. If you want a good, long single player game, get either Metal Gear or Assassin's Creed 2. Personally, I like Fallout 3 for single player, but that's just me.

And fyi, Killzone 2 is absolutely single player, even with bots I believe. And Uncharted 2 is only good alone, there is no local multiplayer. The story is excellent, but that should not be a game you buy to play with friends.

If you're a fan of the MGS series, definitely go with metal gear solid 4. Assassin's Creed II is awesome, but once you finish the single player campaign theres nothing really left to do after. I personally haven't played Uncharted 2 yet, so I can't give an honest opinion on it. Killzone 2 is good, but isn't different from any other FPS you've played (although the graphics are fantastic). MGS4 has a solid single player campaign, and a pretty fun multiplayer mode, so there's nothing to lose if you choose MGS4, HOWEVER I suggest you play all 4 of those games if you get the chance to.

None of those games have any type of split-screen, but you can play with bots on kz2 (although online is better so why use it?). The best game overall would definetly be MGS4. It's single player is absolutly amazing, and Metal Gear Online is soooo much fun.

Get both MGS4 and Killzone your potential Santacan probably snag both of them for the price of one new game lol. Out of the new ones I haven't played Uncharted 2 but have heard nothing but good things about it, I have AC2, no online but great game in its own right, a lot of things to do if your a trophy junkie and a def pick up if you enjoyed the first one.
