These top ten plays are lol worthy, and hilarious. Just goes to show how great some of the players in UC2 really are.

Im pretty good myself but, some of the countdown matches here is something I havent seen myself do yet.

LOL yeah....

The #1 was just hilarious i mean come on...I suck at UC2 multiplayer but when I see guys disappearing like that I think Ill rethink my strat.

The grenade throwing on Turf War is standard though, happens all the time. Good shotguns.

That was pretty good except the ones towards the bottom focus too much on grenades. I find the grenades in that game to be extremely annoying since they pretty much auto lock onto where your enemies are

some of those grenade kills were nothing short of amazing. I mean common how many people can throw a grenade across a map and score that? Some of the shot gun kills looked a little iffy to me. Especially when that 1 guy took out 4 or 5 guys at once idk abt that.. A little too lucky lol.

I wonder if this guy would be interested in my 70-9 plunder match. Funny thing is I didn't even kill farm.

The grenades follow a normal predictable trajectory once you throw them ... there is no enemy auto-lock. :?

I subscribed to this guy last year, man he posts some great vids! I've sent him a gameplay vid but he hasn't made a new countdown recently but he says that he is working on it.

... but you have to admit they are annoying as all hell. I absolutely HATE it when they don't even try to shoot at you and automatically throw a grenade. Grow a set.

I agree and I think this has been a bigger problem since the update. Since there isn't as much time to get off a grenade before you die people are resorting more to throwing them before a fire fight even starts. I've even found myself doing that at rare times. :o

I think it's an issue of confidence. Before the update, I was much more confident that I would be able to out-aim my opponent but still have time to throw a last second desparation grenade, but now sometimes when I play I feel like the other teams bullets do more damage than mine. I seem to go down with 2 seconds of being shot with any rifle, yet it still takes me a good 3-4 seconds to take down anyone else even though I know I'm at least as accurate as my opponent, and usually more accurate.

My k/d ratio is stated to be 1.42, but when I consider the fact that my friends and family also play on my profile (and they suck for the most part), I'd say my actual ratio is more like 1.5. The point is that I know I'm a good player and I know my aim is better than most. The only thing this update has done is knock down my confidence level because I know I'm more likely to die than to barely live through a firefight (which happened actually fairly frequently before the update). I guess I just have to keep playing to get my confidence back.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the effect of the update on grenade whoring.

YOU ARE THE MAN! There... all better. :P Even though I don't get to play this online at my house, I've played a good amount and I think that it's a bit less of a problem now with 1.05. I say that because usually when I would have a grenade thrown at me, it would mean I surprised them and they could turn around fast enough to throw a nade. Now I can kill them more quickly so they can't pop it off as often. That said, I think that when people see you but shoot last, they resort to that grenade more often. I think if they added a second (or more) to the timer we'd be good.

Trust me. I have died by plenty of grenades to know there is auto lock. You mean to tell me that when I'm behind cover and shooting at some guy and he rolls to the side and randomly presses L2 and the grenade lands on top of my cover and rolls over perfectly to kill me that that player is 100% skill?

I'm not even saying this happens from time to time, this happens nearly every match.

Also, when the grenades have a shorten fuse just because they are near you. Grenades have a 5 second fuse. If I turn the corner and kill some guy and he throws his "Oh man that guy just owned me" grenade it nearly explodes of impact. I have zero time to get away.

Note: I'm referring to the tap L2 grenades, not the aiming down sights and pressing L2

I'm pretty sure I know what you're referring to and I've done it successfully so I know what happens. Your opponent probably held L1, looked at your feet, and tapped L2 and then rolled away quickly. That process takes less than a half-second (assuming that the player has some experience with the game) and it looks onscreen as if though he blind-fired the grenade without pressing L1.

When you aim, throw a grenade, and roll away, (almost simultaneously), the aiming process onscreen is barely noticeable and it seems as if though the grenade was blind-fired. Also, grenades have a decent range so even if you're positive that your opponent threw the grenade without aiming, there is still a decent chance the grenade will land close enough to you to kill in close-range encounters.

I don't know if it is exactly an auto lock but more of the shorter fuse. But who knows? The grenades are mostly stupid. They should have a 3+ second timer no matter what.

Interesting, strange, lucky, clever, skillful. Just something fun to watch.
