Both! Just Kidding. If you are an action adventure fan that just Loves a great story, then get uncharted 2. But if you are a hardcore RPG fan, Demon's Souls is a must have. I haven't played U2 yet myself, but I definately reckon it is very awesome. Pretty hard choice, although I think DS costs more at the moment.
Like many others here, I'd say get both, but that's not the answer you're looking for. In my situation, I actually preordered both, and I now have both sitting on my PS3 shelf. I've played through both extensively, and I gotta say, Demon's Souls is one amazing game that popped out of nowhere and into my hands. Uncharted 2, granted, was a great choice to begin with, but Demon's Souls wins my heart simply because it had a bigger impact on me when I first played it compared to Uncharted 2 (maybe because I played Uncharted 1 to death already). DS does everything new in an RPG, but U2 is an evolution of everything U1 was, but more. In other words, DS is a revolution, U2 is an evolution. Both are great, but I personally enjoy innovation over evolution. I am enjoying way too much of U2 though, so really, they're both great games, and both will fight hard as my personal GOTY candidates.
Get Uncharted 2 now. Demon's Souls can only get better with time as more people get the game and leave better hints and expand on the amount people playing with each other both competitively and cooperatively.
On the other hand, U2 is where it's at RIGHT NOW!!! So get it NOW!! :P
Demon souls probably will be hard to get later but you also want to avoid the U2 story being spoiled. If your only going to buy DS because it's difficulty, get U2 and play on crushing.
Demon's Souls will give you more bang for your buck and also might not always be in stores.
Now Uncharted 2 the amazing 10 hour game will always be in stores for a fact plus it might even go down to $50 by the time you want to purchase it.
Really though they are both amazing games and it comes down to do you want an short butamazing story expericence like U2? or do you want an amazingly fun but hard lengthy game like Demon's?
Demon's Souls is the obvious choice, as Uncharted 2 will be easy as hell to find for years to come. Demon's Souls on the other hand... not so sure. Besides, if you got to it soon, they still have Deluxe Editions available on amazon for $9.99 more then the standard.
Demon's Souls and Uncharted 2 both have really good replay value but the 11 hour (for me) campaign on uncharted isn't very close to the 43 hrs I've put into demon's souls so far. I think if I could only have one it would be Uncharted 2
i believe uncharted 2 is just flat out easier to jump in and get into. i already killed a few random bosses in demon's souls and now have no idea what to do.
Well I just ordered Demon's Souls on ebay, should arrive in like 1-2 weeks. Literally every store in Vancouver, Canada does not have it I checked everywhere.
I think I might buy and play Uncharted 1 first before I buy 2, is that a good idea?

the first uncharted is amazing and its not needed but adds to your enjoyment of uncharted 2 because of all the character building in the first story. also if you go to toys r us you can buy uncharted 1 and 2 and get a third free game
I cant believe im saying this being that I didnt even pick up my Demon souls preorder on time...I was MEH at first. Finally I gave in and picked it up and I must say its my favorite PS3 game out of 20+ games. Uncharted 2 is still sitting here sealed...I dumped more than 20 hours into this game and im not even close to halfway done. This is my GOTY NO DOUBT.
Get both but if you want to pick up one FIRST, go with Demons souls...it will last you WAY longer. UC2 will be epic, but 10 hours and your done.

Yeahh dude, Uncharted 1 is definately still worth a purchase and it'd be a good idea to go through it before the second. As long as your definately planning on getting both (or in this case, all three) you're all sweet to go.

The two are completely different. Uncharted is far more action-packed and definitely easier, as well as eye candy. Demon Souls is slowly paced RPG that REQUIRES that you invest an unholy amount of time into it, note, if you are casual, don't get it. It's a very sludgy game, dungeon crawler grindfest. Depends what you want, short and fast or long and slow.
10-13 hours for U2. I've played DS for around 30 hours and I'm not close to finishing it and when I do finish it, I have to play it again as a different class, because the game is completely different. U2 will be a rent for me, seeing I didn't play Uncharted more than the one time I beat it. Uncharted type games are awesome the first run through, but after you know the story and whats going to happen it gets boring.

Its really your preference. I bought Demon's Souls and was blown away byhow good it is. Yesterday i got Uncharted2 and its good too but today ill be playing DS. I cant stop thinking about it its consuming me.its not as hard as some claim u just gotta pick your battles wisely ive killed 3 of the bosses without taking any damage at all .
