So I have some Best Buy gift cards, gonna get one of the 2. Never finished beating the first Uncharted. Love RPGs and was slightly let down by the console version of Dragon Age. Mass Effect 2 comes out in a month so I'm up in the air on getting involved in a deep RPG right now. Opinions?

Get Demon's Souls it will make up for the lack of rpgs on the PS3. And it will keep you entertained for a while till newer games come out.

If I had to choose, I'd picked Uncharted 2, I believe Uncharted 2 got cheaper too, it's $50 bucks at Walmart and BB can price match it. Mass Effect 2 comes next month and that game is going to be huge and you probably won't want to play any other RPG then. Rent Demon's Souls or borrow it from a friend and see if you like that style or not.

I doubt you will be able to find DS at best buy. Also, DS isn't your typical RPG. There isn't much of a story. Its almost more action than RPG--or its an action game in an rpg setting. But its awesome. I was playing DS when UC2 came out and I could never get into UC2 because I was too addicted to DS.

Good call on the price matching man, thanks. Printing out the Wal-Mart.com page for it now to take with me lol. Still undecided on both games though lol ...

If by "getting involved in a deep RPG" you mean story-wise, you should be ok with DS. There's not really much of a story from what I've played so you could easily get into the game and continue it while you're playing ME2 if you don't finish it by then. That being said, I personally prefer Uncharted and I would pick that one, but you really can't go wrong with either.

I think I'm going with Uncharted 2. Probably will rent DS sometime and maybe pick it up later if I really like it. Thanks for the input guys.

You should honestly consider purchasing Demon's Souls and renting Uncharted 2. In about a year or 2 Demon's Souls will be hard to get your hands on.

You cant go wrong with either but I think DS has more replay value. I would buy DS and rent UC2. You could beat UC2 from a rental but DS may take more time to get into and appreciate. UC2 has a pretty good multiplayer that might make it a valuable long term purchase.

I had a friend who was super frustrated with DS and after two days he was like "Im taking this **** game back." Then I told him to switch swords and give it another day. He got passed the first boss and then he was addicted for days. Now its his GOTY. And he's telling everyone to buy it first. So sometimes it takes a bit to get into.

But yeah DS is one of the most fun games Ive played in many years. UC2 wowed me with its graphics and fun story but DS was just addictive fun. I would think about it at work and couldnt wait to get home and play.

Well just got home, and I guess it didn't matter lol. Best Buy was a zoo and didn't have any copies of DS or Uncharted 2. Ended up picking up the last copy of the God of War collection lol. Oh well. Still gonna get one or both of them eventually though.
