this year was terrible for sony, as far as core gamers are concerned, i dont care about "move" nor do any of my friends, god of war 3 was the only high point of the year and that's not saying much, GT5, I regard it as a niche game as not everybody is into racing games.

pulling out all big guns in 2011 is mind boggling to me as a gamer, i cannot believe how none of the industry guru's have objected to this.

twisted metal, socom, the last guardian, LBP2, killzone 3, infamous 2, resistance 3, and uncharted 3 all releasing in the same year ? overkill much ? the year where industry juggernauts like mass effect 3 and elder scrolls 5 are also scheduled ?

the only reason i am bringing this up is because i am the biggest uncharted fan in the world, in fact i think its the best game on ps3 bar none, even if UC3 turns out to be better than UC 2, it will get overshadowed easily, and that's the last thing sony needs, their biggest cash cow to get lost in the shuffle.

its been longer since ps3 gamers got their hands on franchises like infamous, resistance, killzone and socom, which in their own right have massive fan base, do we really need uncharted 3 so early ? considering the last game was out very recently ?

I wouldn't complain about ND putting a game out too early. They're taking 2 years to work on Uncharted 3. Thats the longest time they'll ever take on making a game. And about having too many games out in 2011, really, when has having too many games been a bad thing? No one is forcing you to get these games day one and not everyone is interested in everysingle game that comes out. The more options the better.

u totally missed my point, with so many big titles the market will be watered down, and from a business stand point, they are not only sharing the pie with other multi platform titles, but their own established titles as well, look at it this way, sony or ms or nintendo need to come up with 3 exclusives per year and atleast 1 of them makes it big, its considered as a good year for them, sony has 8 exclusives lined up for 2011, thats unheard of, and i think ms has only 2 as of now in gears of war 3 and forza 4. they are going to have to share the financial window with a lot of solid games, if they push atleast 2 big ones to 2012 they stand to cash in a bigger haul.

as a gamer im not pissed, money is not the issue with me, nor is time, i am very good at time management, i am sure it will be more than easy for me to experience all those games at the same time keep my life in check.

uncharted 3, resistance 3, and infamous 2 are established and very lucrative franchises for sony, by lumping them together like this they are gambling with their future, if all of them are well received, but some unexpected game like rage comes out of nowhere and outshines them, then they will be sorry, it's never wise to play all your hands at the same time.

i doubt they have a ps4, they are pushing hard with move and 3d integration in their games and televisions, and they know ms is heavily invested in kinect, meaning increasing lifespan for current consoles, besides both sony and ms follow nintendo's lead when it comes to new tech, so imo the first new console will come from nintendo, and sony and ms may or may not jump in the race immediately.

I honestly don't think it's a problem. LBP2 releases next month, KZ3 in February, I think Jaffe said he was aiming for around April for Twisted Metal, Resistance 3 is dated for September, and inFamous 2 will probably be around Summer. The release dates are spread all throughout the year, so Uncharted 3 definitely won't get overshadowed or lost in a sea of other games.

And GT5 is about as far away from niche as it gets. It's been Sony's biggest selling franchise since the PS1.

Think about all the games , just in this year alone, that were delayed. Now look at your list of games released for next year. Do you still seriously think that all those games will still be released on their respective dates. I sure don't.

dont even get what your talking about. Sony has done pretty well. And the move has sold pretty good as well. I believe 800k unit have been sold. And thats with them not pushing it as much as x-box has tried with theirs.

Uncharted 3 wont get overshadowed since it's more popular on ps3 than any of those games you mentioned, remember uncharted 2 released around the same time as mw2 and it still sold great and beat it hands down in GOTY awards.

TC you thought this year was terrible? Wow I thought it was excellent. I've bought 36 games this year that I have enjoyed through and through but to each their own I guess

i sure hope no game get delayed. but again, it will. from my perspictives, sony must always give new gamers a new reason to buy ps3. with a reason in every month of the year, i think they will too many units a month. what i think is that 2011 will be the year of ps3 if they stick to this release plan. imagine that you have to go every month to stores to buy a game. for a guy like me ( who milks a game until the game im waiting for gets released or price down), this rocks.

Trust me, ANYONE who likes Uncharted a lot says they're the biggest Uncharted fan in the world. Why do you think I tried bidding on the Fortune Hunter's Edition on eBay. :P

Why the heck are you complaining then? You say you're a gamer and yet you worry about what happens to Sony!? Why? The only reason why I as a gamer would ever want to have a game come out later than scheduled would be if they actually make the game better. Do you fear that if Sony doesn't do well it'll affect the videogames you play? I'm sure you've been alive long enough to know that sometimes people aren't happy with some of the decisions you've made, and I'm sure its because they didn't know your reasons for making those decisions, but you knew the reasons so thats why you did what you did. Simply put we don't have all the facts, so just enjoy being a gamer.
