Hey all, I bought a ps3 about 2 weeks ago and havent got a game yet but have been checking out some of the demos. Honestly I thought the uncharted demo was fun gameplay and good animations but I thought the textures and graphics were a little washed out =/. I am kind of dissapointed because everyone was telling me how its graphics are revolutionary and all that. Im downloading the heavenly sword demo now hopefully its a lil better. Im on a 1080p 42" toshiba btw and blu rays, games on other consoles, etc look great but I dunno ps3 graphics just havent given me any wow factor yet.
I guess it's all a matter of opinion. I don't see how they were washed out but I assure you the gameplay and story will sell you on that game, not the graphics. The demo is more or less a perfect encapsulation of the gameplay. In fact, there is an unlockable code in the game that turns on a "next gen" filter. It makes everything super bright with tons of HDR and everything is kind of brown. At least they have a sense of humor about these things.
Yeah I think Uncharted is one of the most Graphically stunning games of 07, the only game to make say "WoW" was Gears of War, and well with all the colors in Uncharted, I was amazed.
Thanks for all the comments fellas. How do I know if my tv supports full rgb and also what other settings should I put ? I saw ps upscaler in game settings and I had it set to normal but I play games in full screen should I set it to full screen ?

You can play with all the settings and see if you like the changes.
nooblet69, the demo of Uncharted did no favours to the game itself. The level they allowed you to play in the demo does absolutely no justice to the game itself both in terms of gameplay and visuals.

The ruined city around halfway through the game is absolutely astonishing, the water effects are beautiful and the level generally does a good job of showing what PS3 is capable of.
