Uncharted Demo doesn't work in Europe?!

I'm downloading the demo now from europe through US account i created but i keep hearing from people in europe it's just a blank screen?

looks like Sony found a way to lock us out and make us wait even longer again.

Yah, all I get is the black screen, when I try to end quit the game my PS3 beeps twice and resets itself.

that's a load of bulldoodoo, i know European people that have the Demo now, and are playing it (from the US store) since the EU store is filled with people so it's kinda hard to get in for alot of people.. i think i'm the only one waiting untill the kids fall asleep to start downloading anything

Edit: HAH! seems i was wrong, just my friends trying to brag :lol: well. i wouldn't know anything about the game really, i'm not hyped for games. it's a losers last attack to get hyped and then being let down because he, himself, overhyped something

Wait for Home, perhaps there will be a Global Store and Sony will finally release demos for everyone and not just for specific regions...

Or it could be even worse and they will eliminate access to stores if your not from that region...

Also I am just curious, are you guys trying to Play on PAL tvs or on an HDTV? Perhaps its an issues with video..., NTSC encoded and your using PAL tvs?

If its indeed true, ill be doing the same most probably as im getting a 360 end of the month, and ill be picking up all the good ps3 exclusives from 2nd hand trade.

(and i will follow true, I allready decided i will but all my multi plats on 360. they allready lost those.

Why would they patch it? It's a demo for the North American market and it works on North American PS3s. Get over it. You have an account you shouldn't and Sony decides to actually use that ONE time and you're ready to buy all mult-plats for the crap-box? Jesus you're like a child. "If daddy doesn't let me play with my toy then I go to mommy." You'll probably get the demo in the next week or so and will have to download it from YOUR store all over again.

Well said. I'm in Sweden and I can probably not run the game either, but I'm not gonna freak out like a child just because of it. Of course I'm a little bummed, but theres more to life than Uncharted.

LOL. We had a long LONG!! discussion on weather message boards can truly affect anything. And someone did a count on hits to the Gamespot site "which is loosing out to other sites as of late." Theirs a place whereyou can get everything on anysite. I forget where he went thow?? And then you have to factor in the % that actually even know where the message boards are. And the % is so low compared to the consumer, it unreal. No affect can be made. And plus you have to add in the world and that consumer base, In which none of those have no idea about one person here. Even if a person knows about a site. A vary small % of them know about that sites message boards.

In basic, No one "including probably over half the PS3 owners" even know 2.0 exists! Or the Drakes demo.

i'll just ignore the insult and won't even report it. IF this was intentional, that Sony is making a mistake.

The demo's are made to make people enthousiastic. Making different accounts does not harm gaming. Europe gest demo content or games in general pretty late. By making extra accounts, they can download some stuff so they can be hyped for the games that are fresh. By not letting "up to date" gamers play the demo, they will effectivly make the gamers LESS enthousiastic and will make them LESS

I'm a gamer. i was looking forward to this demo.I think Uncharted can be a GREAT game. I wasted 1.5 hour to download this game. They could have said in advance the demo wouldn't work (all other demo's wortk fine).

My reactions were pure dissapointment, but i'll stick to what i said. i see no harm in multiple accounts. in fact, i think they HELP making and keeping european gamers enthousiastic for games.

I would think it's a shame if this will be a trend in demo's. i hope it'sjust a glitch..
