God,what a good game. It took me a while to get into the story,but once i got into it,it was awesome all the way through. I hope it has good replay value. :D
i just beat it yesterday and want more, I will probably play through it again, maybe when I get tired of Orange Box if I don't go back to Oblivion or become an online freak playing UT3 and warhawk. I agree Uncharted is a helluva game and I will remember it for awhile. The story, animations, graphics, and gameplay really suck you in and the production values certainly help. It felt like an interactive action movie, like the next indiana jones.
The switch from stop-and-pop to run-and-gun is really jarring and totally changes the game. I don't think I'll ever forget the sub generator room bc it had me on the edge of my seat.
about 8 hours on hard. I always start games on hard. Easy and Normal mode isnt as fun/challenging. HoodCheese
Normal and Easy is there for the kids. is what i always say. i find it sad to waste money on a game, just to play it on Easy. get throught it in one sitting. and then leave it at that..
I just finished it four hours ago. It is the best PS3 game so far. Many people talk about it being short, but if I started thinking about all I went through from beginning to end, all the environments I passed through, all the battles I got into, all the puzzles I solved, and how huge and diverse the world is, it seems like a pretty long game. Obviously, if you refuse to put down the controller and just keep going and going for hours on end without stopping, it'll finish rather quickly for you, and there's nothing the developers can do about that. But seeing how big the world is and how many hell holes I have gone through, it's a long game.
Last third of the game starting from the zombies was weak and disappointing. Last level also wasn't too great. What is it with games and introducing zombies at the end??
The rest of the game was great aside from the jet ski sections which should've been the funnest but were instead exasperating and some gun fights which felt like a grind.
The beginning of the game until the submarine was pure bliss though. Climbing onto the U-boat and exploring it was amazing. Superb graphics, great characters and voice over. An 8/10 in my book. A real pity about the end. How is run and gunning so radical???
I just rented it yesterday because I wasn't overly enthralled with the demo when I first played it, but I am really loving it thus far. I'm right at the part where you are at the crash site of the ship and you have to scale that massive wall and I am blown away, the way they threw in voice work is nothing short of genius. I was in tears when Drake had to go back outside after having scaled the wall and he looks down and says something like "Oh crap".
The voice acting is the best I have heard, it really brings out the humor. It really feels like they wanted to give Drake a Harrison Ford demeanor, like Indiana Jones or Han Solo. It's perfect.
