I'm really thinking of getting one of these two games since I already have a mass collection of shooters, and I know that the games are pretty different however still follow the adventure genre. Just like to see if I could get any opinions. Thanks!

If you could only have one, I would say Uncharted, but I really recommend getting both if you can.

since both games are extremely single player.....id go with Uncharted cuz its alot of fun and the platforming is alot of fun, and quite honestly......more fun than assasin's creed cuz its quicker. R&C is alrite id say, its also a long game but not as fun as uncharted quite simply. the shooting is better in uncharted also

uncharted..
its really a matter of opinion though
and what u personally want..however
if u have played any R&C before u
have some idea of what to expect
but if u want to try something new
then give uncharted a shot..
personally its still in its plastic
and am waiting till im ready to
be blown away by it..so it must
be doing something right :D

Alrite thanks for the opinions, however for R+C should I play the others to get the story? Or is it just completely different?

You should play the other R&C games just because they're great. You don't actually need to know anything other than the fact that Ratchet is the last Lombax (animal) alive and the robots are trying to take it over. I haven't played it yet so I don't know if they bring back any characters from previous games, but based on the demo and other videos I've seen, I doubt it.

R&C, while Uncharted is awesome, it's way too short to justify a $60 purchase, imo.

In my opinion, this game is definitely a buy.

It has plenty of replayability, because:

  • it has four different difficulty levels, one of which you unlock by beating the game on hard, which is actually hard
  • the game only takes eight hours if you play on easy or medium; expect a good 10-15 hours on hard
  • there are 60 treasures to find
  • there are 1000 points worth of medals to earn...
  • and rewards to getfor earning certain numbers of pointsfrom medals
  • the story is like a summer blockbuster movie that you will love to watch and play over and over again

So ...the game onlyhas no replayability if you're the type of person who will only beat the game once on medium in 8-10 hours and then have it sit on your shelf and collect dust.

But, if either the treasures, medals, rewards, or difficulty levels interest you even remotely, you will get plenty of replayability out of this game. Naughty Dog knows how to keep gamers coming back for more.

Besides, its just pure undeniable fun ... well worth the $60

Well, to each his own, I guess.

Why would you have a dilemma of buying one of these two if you can get them both? The only thing you need to make a decision of is which one you want to buy first unless if your high financially then you can buy them both at the same or short time. These 2 games is a must buy for PS3 owners and if you only buy one over the other then your gonna miss something.

The bonuses in Uncharted are actually worth getting, too, moreso than the Jak games; and there's a lot of them.

Uncharted, it's an instant classic, great game from top to bottom, and the best thing in treasure hunting since the original Tomb Raider [w/o the clunky the controls]. Ratchet and Clank is another solid option and probably the best in the series imo, but Uncharted imo is simply to amazing to pass up...

Ratchet & Clank!

Both are amazing, though.

I hate to bring the 360 into this one, but I never really cared about Achievements, and the 1000 points in Uncharted, while they offer rewards, they're no different. To me, anyways. I mean, how many times are you going to unlock costumes of Drake and play again? "LOL Cartoon Drake, awesome!"..."Wait, I've already beat this."

But hey, maybe I'm crazy, I respect your opinion though.
