Seriously! this game has everything.. Great story, great characters, great voice acting, Amazing graphics, and lets talk about the controls...

they are pretty close to perfect, the game suits the vita well... you can move around look around with the sticks, aim with the sticks, or AIM BY TILTING THE VITA! which i found particularly awesome for sniping lol.. the quick time events from past uncharted games during hand to hand combat is great. replacing hitting Triangle to counter with swipe motions.

anyone else think this game is using everything the vita has in an amazing way. its almost like... the game was meant to be played like this!

It's a good game, could have used a little more oomph with some of the set pieces.

Actually, implementing the Vita controls feels gimmicky and takes away from the experience. Naughty Dog learned their lesson after the first game by removing sixaxxis functionality in the sequels. It seems like Bend Studios still needs to learn a thing or two. Honestly, how many times do I have to cross a log/beam only to be interrupted part way by a mandatory tilt mini game? That is just poor game design.

I agree with TC. This is the definitive launch title for the Vita. It's actually my first Uncharted game, and I'm lovin it. It's taken me a little time to get used to on the aiming with the sticks, but it's just been a blast. As far as the controls go for hand to hand, it's great to me. The little balance mini game is a nice touch. I think the whole thing comes together in a masterpiece of a game. Yeah, some of the controls seem a little gimicky, but hey, why not?

My sentiments exactly. It's one of the best if not the best game on the Vita and my second most anticipated game after Gravity Rush.

I actually liked some of what they did. The Charcoal drawings and making you rotate items around to clean or inspect them brings you closer to the investigator role. Its far better than a drawing just appearing and going to a cut scene with Drake explaining what it is.

I'm only on chapter 16 but so far I like a lot of what Bend has done. If I wanted to play Uncharted without using any of the "gimmicky" controls then I would play it on the ps3. I personally picked up a Vita for the different touch controls.

Just finished it and while it wasn't as good as the console games it was still pretty good and still had that Uncharted feel to it which is pretty impressive for a handheld. The traditional controls felt solid and I liked some of the newer stuff like zooming in with the back touch pad or moving the vita to aim. The only thing I didn't like was the balance beam stuff and sometimes Drake didn't want to take cover, but instead roll around:P. Overall it was a solid game and a good start for the Vita.

Uncharted??? You guys really need to Play Gravity XXXX. It is really well put together title. Coolyfett has Uncharted GA, but again Gravity is a better game.

I just beat it last night.. excellent game. An 8 out of 10, if not higher, for sure. I really liked the story and characters, too.

Some of the Vita controls were good, but I specifically disliked the balance beam, melee swipes, and bamboo cutting. They directly interfered with gameplay. Also, the constant tuorials for the alternate touch controls were very annoying. The puzzle solving stuff was nice.

It's a fantastic game and I'm really enjoying it. The only minor problem I personally have is reloading by tapping the corner of the screen. They motion control aiming is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of RE Revaltions gyro aiming.

I too agree it's a great game to really show what the Vita can do. While I feel the 'regain your balance by tilting the system' is a little overdone (Only once has Drake been able to cross something without that rearing it's head), I do really like the implementation of the other unique control aspects.

You can also reload by tapping the down arrow on the Dpad. ;)

Honestly I loved the other uncharted Games, but to tell the truth I'm a bit undecided about this one, It feels like it missing something and I think the touch screen parts are way too sensitive.

Maybe because it got push back to May 29? If Gravity Rush was a launch title, it would had done well along with uncharted and would had gotten it at launch along with uncharted.

If you're like me you were so excited to play instead of look at the control tutorial pictures that you closed them after only reading a small portion! THing is, I'm an OCD reloader (man, I'd be a terrible soldier in real life.) so knowing where the reload button is is one of my top priorities upon starting any game with a gun. :P

I have read somewhere (Maybe PS3trophies.com? I forget) that someone has already platinumed it (and they're probably not the only ones). I haven't personally however, haven't even beat the game once yet. Dang buy 2 get 1 free game deals...even after I do finish the campaign I probably won't do trophy mop-up due to other things to play!

Yeah, it's not really a bad game to start out with, and it's a pretty good game on it's own. My minor gripes with the game are the controls. Controlling with the dual thumbsticks feel a bit tricky and at times, pretty tough. I suppose it is because of the stick layouts and their smaller size. I guess it's because I am still used to the Dual Shock controlling of action shooting games on the PS3. Also, it has way too many touch screen interactivity, and that makes it annoying at times, in my opinion. But with all that aside, I still like the game and I would recommend it to anyone purchasing a Vita.

I got used to the aiming myself. Slow, short, stedy movements to aim, then fire really work in that game. BTW, I feel the same way about the touch screen controls in Dynasty Warriors Next. Having to hit the touch screen where the enemies jump up and lunge at you is more annoying then fun. It just takes away from the experience, and the Infinity Blade like one on one combat has been driving me crazy because I haven't been able to master when and how to strike. Otherwise that is a good game too, if you like beat 'em ups like I do.

I paid only 0.79p or approximately $1.26 for mine through a mistake on the UK PSN on the day before the launch. Pretty good deal if you ask me. LOL. That said I still would have paid full price for it as personally I think it's worth it.

I think some of the low reviews has to do with it being so close to a console game, it is nearly impossible not to make DIRECT comparisons; which is really unfair. For one, it's a handheld, two it's a different developer and three it's a launch title to the PS3s premiere franchise.

Honestly, if there were no Uncharted games on the console brother, this would have easily been a 9+ game. Personally I think this game is a bit better than Drake's fortune. Though nowehre near as good as Uncharted 2, the games graphics, story and acting are much better than I thought after I read the reviews. I found the diagloue to be engaging, the cut scenes well executed and the graphics to be great. I think the PS Vita struggles a bit with the foilage and darker scenes. However I find the lighting and overall character models to be about as good as it's console counterpart which is a HUGE compliment.

Though I never agreed, PS3 fans used to shout graphics king of Drakes Fortune and compare it to Crysis. So a portable that gives near PS3 visuals to arguably the best looking franchise during a LAUNCH title made by a different developer.....This Vita has a LOT of power to unlock. 4 core CPU, 4 Core GPU and much lower resolution than 720p (meaning more power to work with) and we have a ps3 like experience in our pockets for the next generation of handheld gaming.
