I just wanted to know if Uncharted is what PS3 users would see as an alternative to Gears of War. I've played gears, and as most of the game seems to be presented in varying shades of black and red, I was hoping U: DF could be a nice, colourful tactical shooter with cover and *crosses fingers* roadie runs? I hope so. Can anyone tell me?
Though it might have similar elements, it lacks what makes gears a game that I haven't traded in yet - online multiplayer. The reason I still have Uncharted is because it has a good story line, something that Gears sorely lacks.
I don't really care about multiplayer - I have Resistance and Warhawk for that. But does Uncharted offer a good singleplayer that is better than Gears'?
Gears of War is the popular favorite. It's just a hell of a lot better. The difference between the two is so vast I have to assume those that vote uncharted have some kind of system bias. I mean Uncharted is decent but its no GeOW.
The environment is of course different. I don't like games with 2 colors so Uncharted is definitely good. The cover system is the same, and some of the shooting reminds me of Resident Evil.
