When trophies came out for this game I got all of them except for the "complete the game on crushing" one. Since i borrowed the game from a friend he eventually wanted it back, and I didn't have time to finish the game on the hardest difficulty. A couple of months later my ps3 stopped reading discs, so i got it repaired. They replaced my old hard drive with a new one and stupidly enough i hadn't backed up my save files. Now I have decided to borrow the game once again, and try to get that platinum that has been sitting and waiting for me for a year. Here is my question: Will I have to beat the game twice, since you have to beat the game once to unlock crushing? Or can i do something clever with a savefile that i got from a friend. My guess would be that I can take my friends savefile, who has already completed the game, create a new save file, finish the game on crushing and get my trophy unlocked. I'm definitely not sure if this would work, though.
Try using the friends save fle, that may actually do it. Take any Uncharted data that he has in his console and USB it on over. I don't believe Uncharted has downloaded game data after you beat it, but the saved game data probably unlocks the key for this.
yeah you can probably use the save file to unlock crushing mode but its not gonna give you any trophies (i think) cause to unlock trophies you have to get the accomplishments at the same time but a saved file will only give you accompllishments but no trophies cause i remember when first started playing the game i did a whole bunch of accomplishments actually almost all of them but i think cause my net connection was down those days i didnt get any trophies so i have to make new game to get them but not being a trophieswhore "unlike you" i didnt give a damn and just continued playing other games
Right now i got one person saying one thing and another saying the opposite. I really need to know for sure if I'm gonna put some effort into this! Does anyone know for sure?
I dont know for sure, but I know a lot of save files disable trophies. If i were you i would beat the game on hard again (it wont take long and it will warm you up for crushing) andf that way you dont do crushing and not get rewarded. I mean crushing is hard, and some parts it takes a long time to get through (for me at least) I wouldnt want to do it twice.
