Uncharted - Why all the Praise?

I mean, cmon! I played the demo and it was such crap that I couldn't even get myself to finish it. The main character is plain and the gameoverall feels like a Tomb Raider reject! Even the Ratchet and Clank demo was more fun than this!(and I would never buy RC!)

Why is everyone praising this game?

Well, man thats your opinion. Cause 90% of us lov the game and the gameplay was awesome. The graphics are some of the best on any systems. Some 360 owners are crying for the game. Your the other 10% can express your opinions but dont go overboard which u seem to be going.

Are u kidding me man, Uncharted lies in the same list as those games, hav u seen the cover system, hav you seen the firefights, hav u seen the cutscene and the relaism in the characters personalities, hav u seen the envoirments and im only talking bout the demo!

Me and you have exactly the same taste in games, except you forgot to mention Prince of Persia. Although I though Uncharted was decent. AC is GOTY though.

Uncharted is one of the best games this generation and I stand by that statement. I'll be the first one to admit that the demo level was not a good choice for a demo as it's one of the weaker chapters in the game, but once you come to that chapter in the game you're already engrossed by the story and characters so you "get it" by then.

As for your crack about PS3 owners being that sad, I can't speak for every PS3 owner, but I'm having a blast with my PS3, more so then any other system out. Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk and Folklore are some of the best games in a long time, and I'm having a hell of a good time with them all.

To each his own, but for my money, the PS3 is dominating my play time.

OMG! I can't believe I forgot to mention POP. One of my favourite series ever!

I don't know, I just thought that Uncharted doesn't seem originaland fun enough.

I had 100 times more fun with Stranglehold than I did with this demo.

I had 100 times more fun with Stranglehold than I did with this demo.

Then i got nothing aganist u man, if u feel Stranglehold is more fun i respect your opinion. Personally, i found the graphics "not very good" though the gameplay was good expecially that precise aim shot, but i dont find it living up to Uncharted.

But most of the love is fanboyism. you know, people saying "it's the perfect gamer! the best ever! my mom rocks!" etc etc. zeforgotten

That's what I'm feeling as well. I think that this game is getting way too much praise than it deserves.

Alot of games are. it's a shame really. especially the fact that the fanboys will go on a rage and deny that there will EVER be another game just as beautiful as Uncharted. even 40 years from now. it's just dumb, and they will (as always) be proven wrong. we saw it back in the 90's too. people said "this is as great as it gets".. but it wasn't

The person that agrees doesnt sound like they played the game by saying from what I have seen, seeing and playing are two completely different things.
