I got Unreal 3 through gamefly because i was curious about the game. Is it really popular on the ps3? The online community isnt very big compared to call of duty 4 or MGO. I don't know if I would buy the game, but does anyone recommend it? I got a lot of birthday money and I was thinking of getting a game after i complete the ones i already got lol. Is unreal worth it? I'm not really asking for suggestions if i should get the game but i was wondering if people like it. If not, I might save the money for mercs. 2 or silent hill 5.
Its a really great game, and TONS of fun online. But if you don't like fast-paced action, then do not guess this. But I say, that you should get it.. COD4 online is much better though.
unreal3 is a good game! its not as good as dutty4,but easier to play,im kind of surprised the on-line community is'nt bigger,and besides you can pick up a used copy for 34.00 at ebgames or gamestop!
DO NOT GET IT! It's a great game, but i regret my purchase. The game is only good for the online component, and that online component is very LAGGY - literally only 1-5% of the time a player will have no lag. The mods were fun for a bit, but they require the player to buy a usb memory stick to dl them from the net on ur pc and then stick them back into ur ps3 (it gets VERY repetitive, since you can only have ONE mod at a time on your memory stick - so that means dling a mod, importing it to ur ps3, goin back to ur pc and DELETING ur mod on ur usb stick, and then dling any other mod u wish). I do not recommend this game at all - fix the online, and then i'll start playing the game again. Until then, the game will continue to collect dust in my collection until one of those days i want to play a fast-paced online shooter coupled with lag - which is, unfortunately, one of the very few upsides of the game. The other upsides are the great weapons and mods, and that's it. The graphics r actually OK - MGS4 is much better in every respect. My verdict is do not get the game. Lag is inevitable in this game, not matter how great a connection u hav. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game: this is one of the vry few games where u can shoot a rocket only to connect directly with ur opponent in mid-air. Not worth enduring the lag tho.
I rate UT3 pretty high for those days when I just wat to leg it about shooting stuff without end. thankfully I haven't suffered from as much lag as Giltch up there but it undeniably does suffer at times. It definitely is a game to suit a mood tho as it's a much faster and less thoughtful game than most online shooters and really is the epitomy of the phrase "run and gun".
Whatever, capture the flag games are fast and fun (esp. when free of lag)and some of the mods are really cool. The single player is a misnomer,mind, and should have just been called training, IMO, as that's what itis -training for the online battles. Also it does allow mouse and keyboard controls which can put a pad gamer at a disadvantage when the pc shooter addicts get going so check if they are allowed on the server that hosts your game.
Basically then:fast, fun when lag free and for me that's about 60% of the time.
unreal 3 is a great game but the community is not that big anymore, it used to be but not now. and i don't know what you are taling about lag on unreal i have not had abit.
