i would say definatly yes as well. it uses the same engine, so don't expect a graphical upgrade. But they have added a lot of new stuff: more weapons, weapon & ammo mods, hardcore mode, some new perks, completely new map/characters/story. It's definitely not Fallout 4, more of a spinoff (like GTA3, Vice City, & San Andreas). If you liked Fallout 3, you need to get New Vegas.[QUOTE="irishdude199210"]i would say definatly yes as well. it uses the same engine, so don't expect a graphical upgrade. thats exaclty what i was thinking, its notlike new game. i also heard it is very glitchy. :( i liked fallout 3, but i've been watching a few videos and it seems kinda ridiculious e.g, punching someone and den they explode into pieces. thats just over the top. Other than that, i think it has too many simalarities with fallout 3. i noticed someone mentioned renting it, that dosent seem like a bad idea.
however, i am ultimately dissapointed with bethesda on this one :( i expected more
The exploding punch was probably because they were using the "bloody mess" perk. Yes there are a few glitches and bugs and they are very annoying, I'm hoping they fix it all very soon (which has been mentioned already).
Aside from that, there are enough new and improved things to make the game a reason to buy it. I've been having a blast with it.
i dont know friend. im not to awfully far in but so far the voice acting is not nearly as good as in F3. so far its very ho hum and the characters iv come across just dont seem to be as interasting. but of course like i said im not to far in.In every way Fallout New Vegas is just better and superior to F3. Hell the game even has less glitches (for me at least).
I have 28 hours and the game froze 1 time so far.

i played fallout 3 for 90 hours on my first playthrough, not a single freeze. in fact, i never had a freeze on any playthrough but havent got near 90 hours again on the otherones.
if you're not sure then wait until the game gets cheaperAbusedMajestysounds like a plan. :) thats prob wat i'll do, i just will not play it if its covered with bugs to ruin my enjoyment. modding of weapons sunds cool tho, and i like the hardcore mode.

You have got to be kidding me... F3 had the most repetitive and terrible voice acting ever! I guess it's you're personal taste, but dude, F:NV has far better voice acting. In every way Fallout New Vegas is just better and superior to F3.
