Update 2.10 DivX question

Will the update allow me to watch videos on stage6 on my ps3 on the web browser? and also, can it now play .avi files?kalkhaja

I tried an .avi file and it didn't work. I think the file needs to have DivX codec in it, not 100% sure~

I've tried some anime I've got and it works! Upscaled on top of that.

yeah thats right i got the Simpsons on my PS3 avi with DivX codeckf9

sadly Stage6 videos are not viewable with the new firmware.. unless you download them with a pc onto a flashdrive... but maybe if were lucky we will be able to view them directly from the webpage in the futureFlemmingM

hmmm, when i watch an .avi file(streamed wirelessly), my ps3 seems to only read a few seconds of it, and then stops/pauses as if it has come to the end of the show. It's supposed to be about 20 minutes long, it's recognised by the ps3 on the information section, with file(avi) and codec(divx) and lenght all accurate. It's just when playing it, it plays about 10 secs of the video, and then stops. Anyone know what problem i have?

I've tried copying the file to the ps3 itself through the wireless media server, but that didn't help either.
