I don't know why but everytime a new online update arrives, my ps3 has a hard time downloading it. It always goes super fast, and then suddenly stops. All the other downloadble things like demos, trailers etc work fine but for some reason game updates always come to a hault. It goes through 1/30 times i try to update. plz give me some advice.

You just gotta keep trying.

Keep in mind that things like microwaves interfere with wireless signals.

Yeah, i do but it only goes once every 30 tries & every time it fails, my wireless router and internet connection dies which leads to me having to reconnect everything. =/

Wait, so it screws up your connection?

Like, the update fails, but then you have to get on your computer and reset everything for your router?

If you are using wifi, cordless phones that use 2.4 GHz interferes with the signal a lot.

I suggest not downloading anything from any other sources connected to your router. As in don't surf the internet, connect to Steam, Origin or whatever. PS3 loves to timeout the connection and once it does you have to redownload the whole file all over again. The alternative is to download to your PC, put it on a USB pen drive and load it on the PS3 that way. http://us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/ps3/index.htm
