updating without online for the ps3?

ok, i don't have a ps3 yet but i will, so i decided that before i buy it i'll plan where to put it, and the problem is that where it's gonna be it won't have access to the internet, so i won't be able to download updates.

so my question is, is it possible to download the updates for the ps3 to my psp and from the psp put it onto the ps3? if not what other methods do you know which allow me to update the ps3 even if it isn't connected to the net?

download it from the offical PS site and then put it on a USB and tranfer it to your PS3

what do you mean a cd key? and the site is www.us.playstation.com (thas if you are from the US, if not replace us with your region i.e. uk, jp etc)
