Whats up yall, I wanna know what are your opinions on Borderlands and Bayonetta. I'm getting these instead of medal of honor ( wise decision? )

I'm definately getting them, so its not whether you recommend it, but for those who played the game, to tell me you're opinions on it, due to reviews having their cons on both titles.

For bayonetta, I want to know if the Update fixed any problems the reviews stated

Secondly, they say borderlands is boring single player, is that so or is it just played preferably co op?

Bayonetta = Devil May Cry ripoff, and not as good in my opinioin. (Yeah, i know it's the same creator, I just don't see anything special in that game) Borderlands is... Ugh... Good, I guess. Just really boring.

Bayonetta is great. It has similar combat to DMC, but even tighter control and even more fluid movement. Story is a bit goofy at the beginning, but it's actually not half bad by the end of it. As for the update fixing it, I'm not sure since I played the game on 360.

Never played Borderlands, but I should be picking up the GOTY edition tomorrow :D

Bayonetta is the best action game this generation, arguably the best ever. It still has performance issues post-patch, but the patch did improve things significantly.

Haven't played Borderlands so I can't help you there.

Hahahahahah are you serious? No really are you serious? "the best action game this generation, arguably the best ever". I can't begin to disagree with you more. Its obvious your a Bayonetta fanboy/fangirl?

Lets think of some real action games that just put Bayonetta to shame: God of War III, Darksiders, Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2,hell even Dante's Inferno is better than Bayonetta.

Don't waste your money on bayonetta. Its a witch with guns on her feet and she looks like Sarah Palin. No thanks

I still need to play God of War III  I'm gussing it's the most kick ass game right? =D

On topic though, i agree with everything you've said. There's no way Bayonetta can be labelled as the "best action game this generation". The "worst" sounds much more suitable for it. :P

By 'action game' I was referring to titles like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden, God of War III and Dante's Inferno too. Neither of the latter have the same depth as Bayonetta when it comes to combat, the bread and butter of action games. The former provide better competition but have both underdelivered this generation. They brought their A-game last gen though, which is why I say the title of 'best' is arguable.

If you think character design is reason enough to skip out on Bayonetta, you're playing games for the wrong reasons.

I also play games on premise, story, appeal and such. Bayonetta has none of those. And for character design, you play as that character, you are always looking at that character (minus first person shooters) so yeah I would say character design adds or takes away from playing a game more than one might think

But yeah God of War III had epic sense of scale and the graphics are finely tuned if your playing on the right Tv and cable. You'll love it

well bayonetta is a pretty cool game and the ps3 version has been patched with an install option. The game itself is good but fast paced hack n slashes like this and devil may cry im not really good at but i still enjoyed it..never ended up finishing it though. Borderlands...great game.. i enjoyed every minute of it to be honest... u have to play it like 1 and a half times to platinum it. The rpg elements and abilities mixed with the diablo'esque item hunting was great.

It's fine if you enjoy other aspects of games (I do too), but gameplay reigns supreme - especially for action games - and in this area Bayonetta delivers in spades. GOWIII and DI simply don't have as great of a combat system as Bayonetta.

You're really blowing the importance of character design way out of proportion. It's strange you brought it up after name-dropping Darksiders and Dante's Inferno but whatever, when it comes to games character design is something you eventually shrug off because at the end of the day, gameplay is what takes center stage.

Completely agree with you that game play takes center stage. But Darksiders was a game I still love to this day. Always been fascinated by horsemen lore. And I loved War's design, the armor and robes, the glowing eyes in the hood, all completely badass. I cannot wait till the second one comes out

Bayonetta seems good if you like Devil May Cry and want some new twists to it. The story and style bother me though.

Borderlands is an awesome shooter with diablo like RPG mechanics. I love the game, but it has its problems, mainly the lasting appeal not being anywhere near as good as Diablo II, but still MANY hours of enjoyment out of it. Co-op is a must though.

the only good thing about bayonetta is the final boss fight which is amazing, everything else range from bad to mediocre.

someone seems to have forgotten that 1 combo will get thru the entire game on hardest mode, while you can safely become invulnerable thru the whole game if yu want to. cant block lol best combt system?

good luck trying not to kill yourself due to the soundtrack - who wants a chorus of "i love you" while your kickin a$$? and its thru the whole game never lets up, just 1 example of the poor stylings of the entire game but the rest is just as bad. end of level mini game wtf was that honestly. apparently, heaven is filled with gross ugly monsters too...?

castlevania(so far), arkham asylum, sigma 1, gow3, darksiders, sigma 2, prototype, enslaved, wolverine origins, brutal legend, force unleashed, (new) prince of persia, overlord(s)

just a list of better games off the top of my head. it is better than x-blades tho!

and that is my opinion on bayonetta

I'm just not a fan of Joe Madureira's style. I liked the game and the character of War, but not his design.

I don't know how much you saw of the other horsemem, if you got the graphic novel with the game or not, but what'd you think of their design? On paper they looked pretty intense but completely different story when transferring then into 3D characters in actual sequel
