I had a Bluetooth headset for my PS3, the Motorola H350. But it often had connection problems and interfered with the controller, so I returned it.

I'm now considering getting a USB headset. Are there any pros/cons to either?

I know Bluetooth is better for the portability, but they also have connection problems.

Which one should I get, and what model?

Before I say anything, I know nothing about bluetooth or how it works. All I know is that it does work. So here's what im gonna say;

In the next few days im gonna be going out and buying a 20-30 dollar USB headset. Theres a few reasons for this;

- I have heard about the connectiong problem - I will probly only be using said head set for Call of Duty 4, so im not going to waste a lot of money on something I dont need - You dont need to worry about connection, its a direct link.

Though I dont know much about technology I do do my research before I pick up a product. And all the reviews I've read there hasnt been a complaint about echos or feedback. So I think a USB headset is better off formy needs. And budget!

i have both and for this reason, my bluetooth as much as i have not had problems with it(came with warhawk) it does have to recharge and when that happens i hear people talk through my tv speakers which gets F&*&^%& annoying. so i still had my usb headset from ps2 days and that gives me the option if i dont want to talk or if i do with the mute and when i dont talk i mute put it down and dont hear annying crap through my speakers

That's the one I'm thinking of getting, because people that reviewed it used it on the PS3, and it's supposed to work well.

Does anyone have opinions on this?

You do know that there is an official Logitech PS3 BT headset comming out right? http://gear.ign.com/articles/819/819616p1.html

Although I already have bluetooth, the above is what im getting. In my opinion, if you want something for right now, go usb. For something in the long run Id save up the money and get a half decent BT. I personally use the Jabra BT125 which is great. There are also 2 videos in my profile that review 2 different headsets.

Well it's gonna be pricey, so I probably won't be getting it. Either way, I don't think it's coming any time soon, so I'll just get the Logitech ClearChat.

Thanks everyone for your input.

if you have a USB headset plugged in like i have the socom one you will not hear people through the speakers it only happens as a default when the bluetooth headset is off and i have not found anyway to stop it besides muting the game and having my usb set plugged in and set to my output
