UT3.... core package?

When I try to play online, every time I tried to join a game i get this message

"Unable to Download Core Package"

at first i thought it was just donwloadable content, so I went online to find it and...nothin.

There is one post I found where a guy said its a problem with regions, but im in Canada have an NTSC game (i think, I bought in a canada).

Anyone know what this is?

what the core package is you are trying to join a uk game and currently UT3 online doesnt support this but they are releasing a patch to fix this

link and source??? source is me.... I just tried to take a break from cod4, poped in ut3, i tried atleast 10 games, non worked, finally got in one, and it was 1v1 and super boring.

I loved UT3, but i havnt played it in a while

Some people also suggested that it might be the fact that you don't have the proper mods installed that is running in that game. Not sure if true though.

Either that, or I heard that its something that isn't compatable between PAL and North American versions, but they are working to patch this up.

It's simple, this error has to do with region codes. It has nothing to do with mods or any of the other previously mentioned theories. If you live in the US, you're not able to connect to games in other countries such as the UK, and vice versa.

That's funny because I've been able to connect to UK servers in the past. Some guy on a headset even asked me where I was from. When I told him that I was in the US he totally freaked & asked me what was I doing in 'his' UK server. I was like, "Playing UT3. Nice to meet you too."
