I have both UT and COD4, i can honestly say that UT is so much more addicting, the mods arent out yet...though when i join rooms it asks if i want to download mutators. I love COD, its more strategic, but UT is just all out fun, run and gun. The graphics are great, the guns are superb, i cant wait for mods to actually come out. This is one game for the ps3 that i can honestly say wont get old, with all the new things they can add to this game, its a deff buy. Just MHO =]

I completely disagree with joshua. The game gets really old after a week, but cod4 can keep you busy for a while. UT3 is really repetitive, because you don't need any skills you just run and shoot people and die and spawn and die. I definately recommend call of duty 4 because of its gameplay and its graphics.

I'm sick and tired of these idiots who can't make decisions for themselves. Or need people to weigh out the pros and cons for them.

If you like run and gun BS, with futuristic graphics, get UT3.

If you like a little more strategy, realistic graphics, get COD4.

And learn to think for yourself.

Now go eat some McDonald's, because I think that's what you should eat tonight.

what a jerk...

so asking others opinions makes me an idiot...

read ur post and let the people decide whos the idiot here

if you want a different experience every time go with COD4, strategy makes everything work

UT3....has not changed guns in how many iterations?

wow i think you should take a chill pill. There is nothing wrong about asking these questions, if you don't like it, why don't you move on? It's that simple.

I have both, and ut3 has a better online experience. The online for cod4 is great with the ranking system and the classes, but Ut3 looks and plays great. Plus there are an enormous amount of vehicles to use.

I have both games and they are both great, but if you can only get one of the two, COD4 is the better choice.

I know COD is great, but i think UT will grow substantially, especially since EPIC is always upgrading things, theres going to be alot of Downloadable content coming our way such as Maps, Weapons, Vehicles, Mutators etc...i've had this game for about a month and im still having a lot of fun with it. especially Warfare mode. This game is immersive, and its only going to get better. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is amazing, and overall the game is addicting, just like warhawk is addicting.

Don't hold your breath, that's the impression they gave with Gears of War, too. And somehow, I think Gears of War had a longer lifespan than UT3 will.

Mutators are the only thing that will save the game in the long run.

You know, I have been kind of disappointed with UT3 so far. Maybe I need to give it another chance but COD is the safe bet. It's online ranking system keeps you coming back. UT3 has no ranks or anything.

Whoever posted there are no mods out yet is not really looking. I have somewhere around 15 mods installed on my PS3 UT3. 3rd person mode and a lot of maps. And whoever said just run around and shoot is pretty easy to say but very hard in real life. Aiming while jump dodging rockets and flack from 3 different people is intense and very fun. Plus the different modes of play. But COD 4 is a great game as well. Single player is a great time, but short. If it was me I would borrow money and buy both. Both games will give great replayability, but the sound of some of the mods people are thinking about in the EPIC forums are going to be crazy. There is a mod for the PC version of UT3 of Blood Gulch from Halo 2, good times.;)

UT3 is a great game but... not easy to recomend

Its VERY fast paced compared to cod4 your constantly running and jumping that without any form of aim assist.
Once ya get the right feel for it it can be a blast but i cant help but feel that this is one of those games that are amazingly fun for the first 2-3 weeks and then suddenly go stale

CoD4 is always a save bet, ya can always wait for battlefield bad company if ya want CoD4 gameplay with bigger maps and vehicles.
