SEGA's Aaron Webber suggested on Sony's official blog that one of the reasons the series was moved to handheld was due to its low console sales. But if you want another game is all its HD glory, be sure to pick up a copy of the PSP version.
"So far it seems like most of the fans are really just happy to see the series continue – and, if VCII sells well, it means a much greater chance that the series can pick up again back on a larger console, like the PS3," he said.
Weber alsonoted trophies could be added eventually, but fans need to speak up.
"If you do want to see trophies (and I know that's a lot of you here), then please do keep an eye out," he wrote. "I'd like to organize all of your feedback together so I can show some people here at SEGA just how many fans out there want them. Numbers speak loudest!
Thankfully for fans, it seems like SEGA wants to continue supporting this franchise.

If valkyria chronicles got trophies im sure the sales would go up, i know plenty of trophy whores that didnt buy the game just because it didnt have trophies.
this could help boost sales of the remaining copys and mayb give us VC3 on ps3.
