As long as Sony markets the Vita so poorly in the West, you'll make even more dollars... ;)
As to what Shotty asked, we'll see what E3 brings. Until then, unless you know a little Japanese and want to import, the games are what they are. Plus, this fall, perhaps Killzone and Tearaway.
In Japan the Vita is not a major success, sure, but at least Sony is fighting and good games are coming out.

C'mon guys, what about Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa Rebirth, Dragon's Crown and a ton of great indies. Maybe you think the Vita has no games, or maybe you're not really looking.
I think people just suck at being optimistic anymore. I'm depressed as shit half of the time, but I still manage to be optimistic about the future of the Vita.
I get the feeling that a lot of people just kind of want the Vita to fail, and intentionally try to point to all of the negatives rather than focusing on the positives.
It is difficult to stand behind the Vita, but I'm gonna keep doing it because it's been doing well enough by me so far.
Those are going to be beautiful games, for the people who appreciate them, and we truly have to thank small companies like Aksys, XSeed and the indie people for that... But they are hardly the broad audience system sellers that most of the buyers are waiting for.C'mon guys, what about Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa Rebirth, Dragon's Crown and a ton of great indies. *bangs head of table repeatedly* Ys. why do i keep forgetting about Ys? i found that series on the PC. played a good bit of origin. nice game. does the series need to be played in order or are the stories (which i know are not a major focus of the series) self contained?C'mon guys, what about Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa Rebirth, Dragon's Crown and a ton of great indies. It's scary how many of the same mistakes Sony is repeating with the Vita that plagued the success of the first PSP. Again, they're trying to sell the hardware and not the games. Their "strategy" (if you can call it that) is ass backwards.
Just as with the PSP they focused on how sleek and "cutting-edge" it was at the time but they had no games to back it up. The PSP didn't really hit its stride with a competent library until several years later--which ended up being too late for a lot of people that had completely written off the system at that point. And trying to win them back over was a fool's errand. Enter the catastrophe that was the PSP Go...*shudder*
Anyway, Sony needs to stop dicking around and start releasing games that people want to play. I'm not talking about indie games and all that crap. That's fine for hardcore people. But if you're asking some idiot off the street that plays games here and there and ask them to plop down over $300 for a handheld system that has no games that interest them then, uh, yeah, you're gonna have a hard sell on your plate. And don't even get me started on their laughable pricing scheme for memory sticks; another mass turnoff.
I really like the Vita and want it to succeed. It's disappointing to see so much potential squandered (again) because Sony has this lackidaisical attitude towards their own product. If they don't show that they care about it then why the hell should they expect consumers care any differently?

They need to stop making almost all the games for the system ports of existing games on the PS3 and other systems.Â
The number one reason I have not yet bought a Vita is why should I pay almost $400 (system + game + memory card that holds more than 2 game downloads) just to play what already exists on other systems on a portable.
Sony still has not answered that question, and from the way they are going, it is quite doubtful they will. Im not saying I dont like the hardware, it is very capable, just show me something that is a unique experience for the system that isnt a sequel or scaled down port or a knockoff of something else.
Dragon's crown and Muramasa are the only ones I am interested in this year. voljin1987
Â
Same for me.
Â
The only big surprises, for me, could be the transalation of Phantasy Star Online 2, or that misteryous Panoptikon...
I would say they use the hardware to sell us on the games which they have always had for me.. Worked for me as I didn't want to play my shooters and hack n slash on portables tell the hardware had good capabilities for them. But we do need more unique games for the people that don't want to play their fav home console series or like one such as unit 13 on portables as I do.It's scary how many of the same mistakes Sony is repeating with the Vita that plagued the success of the first PSP. I know it wouldn't make the Vita much more viable, but it would be nice if Sony at least managed to release all of those games they teased us with so far for the Vita... Like Picotto Knights, and Ruin/Warriors Lair/Whatever it's being called now.
you're lucky you actually enjoyed that many games, ive tried all of those and found them all boring as hell. Â Haven't tried wipeout but im not a big fan of the series. Â UC doesn't live up to the big brother on ps3, and p4 is the most repetitive boring rpg ive played in a long time.
They seem to be hinting at something big to be shown at E3 that is Vita related. But currently I'm liking LBP, Soul Sacrifice, Rocketbirds, Knytt Underground, and Gravity Rush (still kind of new to the Vita so I have a mix of new and old). It is a shame the summer seems to have nothing. I'm not really interested in Dragon's Crown or Muramasa Rebirth. At least there's Killzone and Tearaway to look forward too, even if they are coming out in the midst of two other large titles: Beyond and GTA V.

Â
Well, for me it's exactly the opposite.
...Even though I can somewhat agree about Persona 4.
In the end, Vita is more and more shaping up as a "niche handheld for gamers", so perhaps it's not the right machine for you. The 3DS will satisfy you more.

hopefully you're wrong and sony starts releasing some games. Â Im patiently waiting for a castlevania, and possibly a GTA game. Â I just see the vita as a wasted potential, I mean the hardware is so good but the software is just not cutting it. Â The original PSP with homebrew support was the BOMB, too bad hackers haven't got around to doing the vita.
