They have 4 modes of play right now. deathmatch (kill as many people as you can). Team deathmatch (one team tries to kill as many people on the other team as they can). Capture the flag (Take the other team's flag and bring it back to your base) and Zones (where you get points for holding your forts and capturing enemy forts).so what's the point of this game? is there actually a mission you play co-op online? or just go online and just kill people?

what about the actual game?
it was announced a while back and been discussed numerous times that this was an online only game. no storyline. just online multiplayer fun, and let me tell you, its one of the funnest online games ive ever played (except that the beta freezes quite a bit)

It's multiplayer only.
wont it get repetitive over time?
thats why I stopped playing resistance online.

well if you look at it that way......any game will get repetitive over time (thats why they make new games)
Its much less repetitive then Resistance because there's more to variety in gameplay. With the addition of vechicles/turrents and forts/spawn points to defend. I stopped playing resistance after about 20 online matches. I'm still playing the beta of warhawk after about 100 matches and 2 weeks. Plus its not a full price game. The DL version will probably run $25 to $30 and the disc version that will come with a bluetooh headset will run $40 or $50.wont it get repetitive over time?

If you felt that SOCOM was repetitive while playing on-line, then don't bother buying this game. I'm looking forward to it. I have questions to anyone that has the beta now. How's the talking handled on-line? Is it any good? Is it an open mic or do you hold down a button? Does the game support chat? Thanks in advance.wont it get repetitive over time?

Isn't that the point of multiplayer?:?
multiplayer online with co-op is better, multiplayer going online and just pointless shooting to get ranks

You can have up to 4 players playing online on the same PS3. Does that count?:?

Well, single player often gets repetitive fast too. RFOM was very fun, but after completing the game on every difficulties, it got very boring in single player.
At least Warhawk isn't priced as a full game. The retail version will be priced 40$ and will include a Blue-Tooth headset. I don't know the price of the downloadable version, but it will certainly be less considering there is not shipping and printing cost and not head-set coming with it.
