Vizio doesn't make very good quality TV's, but you can't deny their value.

then, IMO, don't go with Vizio. If you don't care about the size, you can pick up some really good lcd's. I have a 40" 1080p sony bravia w series that i paid around $1,800 for. As a suggestion I'd look for a smaller 720p and you can get it for around the same price.

I think he is trying to save money too.

and to the Sony tv owner

does the tv tuck you in at night... cause there is no way I would pay that much for a 40' tv... but to each its own

I have the EXACT same vizio. and i will tell you, it looks amazing. especially for 300 buck! i payed 550 for mine, and it was so worth it, i have it running through HDMI at 720p, and it looks incredible. very sharp and very clear. obviously a sony or sharp would look better, but for the price, youll be happy with a vizio for sure.

i have two of the 32" olevias in my house (almost the same exact one as posted above...mine has side speakers) and highly recommend them...the graphics look every bit as nice as that...if you have AAA log onto their website to get a 10% off circuit city coupon and take it into the store to lower the price down even further

probably one of the better deals on LCD tv's ive seen...my only complaint is the one HDMI port, but for the price/picture quality you cant really complain all that much

There's a lot of misinformation in this thread and I want to clarify a couple of things for you:

There are 3 hdtvs in my house a LG 50' 1080p in the living room, a samsung 40' 1080p in my parent's bedroom, and a 32' Vizio VX32L 720p/1080i in my bedroom... Havig played in all 3 of them let me tell you the difference is not THAT noticeable... I mean the other 2 monsters look a little better, but that's reasonable considering the price difference. I got the Vizio this summer for my bedroom for $390 and it doesn't have anything to envy from the other 2... you'll get an awesome HD experience. And IMO Vizio makes the best cheap HDTVs in the market.

this man speaks the truth

i have had a 42" Vizio 1080p for about 6 months now and i just recently bought a 40" Sony Bravia on black friday, for my dad, (1080p aswell) was gonna do the old switcharoo but he knows that i have the Vizio, and i dont really see the difference myself

Vizio is very good quality and it makes PS3 look awesome

some people just think that cuz it is not a BIG brand name that automatically they cant do a good job

Go with the vizio I got a 37 inch and it makes the ps3 look amazing. Its actually a popular tv more popular in some areas than others. Got rave reviews and is a good reliable tv. Because alot of other tv's are overpriced and is not worth it. I speak with the hdtv guy who comes to various stores and thats what he basically tells me. Because places like bestbuy and crap charge ppl the butt load for a tv while you can get a vizio from walmart for lesser price and still great quality so save you some money get a vizio and buy some new games for christmas.

truthfully you get what you pay for. get what you can afford. sometimes it is worth it to spend a little more cause depending how long you are going to have it, it might be worth it. my one brother has a vizio 32" 720p, my other brother has a 42" polaroid 1080p and i have a samsung 40"1080p. mine looks the best mainly because the black levels and colors on mine are really spectacular. but really the other two look great as well. it is really hard to tell the difference unless you are looking at them side by side. depending on your finances the 32" vizio will look spectacular, especially if they are running some sort of deal. i was originally going to go for a budget model but i have been saving up for some time and when i saw these tvs running side by side i decided to spend the extra since i plan on using this tv for 5 years minimum, figured it would be worth it.

I currently have a 32" lcd sharp aquos 1080p in my room and looks killer (I know your gonna say why get a 32 inch with 1080p resolution, but I got $225 off the price ^_^). Betwwen this one and a vizio and olevia there is quite a difference to tell you the truth(Key word: quite). But if u compare them to similar 720p tv's There is a small difference (usually a little more vibrant colors). If your trying to save, Olevia and Vizio arent bad choices. Insignia is also a solid budget choice, my friend has a 37" lcd Insignia, he got for around 700 and it looks really nice.

But some budget brands I would definately avoid, such as Trutech, these are a Target store brand, and they are horrible. I used to work in Electronics at Target, and these had the most returns. Also Im not sure, but I know there is brand known as Dynes, seen them around Circuit City, not sure if these are any good or not.

hopefully you haven't bought this TV yet!!

get the VX32L unless you have a walmart gift card or something. They're the same price, but the VX32L is a better TV than the VW32L.

If you ask me, I would save up some money to get a nice quality1080p big screen, than get just a small screen with HD on it. It's the people who work hard that will get the big TV's and nice toys. Not trying to be rude.

The best value tv's you can get are Westinghouse, Olevia, and Vizio. You can't go wrong with either choice. They offer the best quality for the price.

I recently purchased a 32'' Vizio, at first I was having some issues with the calibration. But after I bought an HDMI cable and DVE, I hooked up my Playstation 3 through HDMI, and ran the DVE (Digital Video Essences) my Vizio was set. Uncharted look amazing and Burnout Paradise as well. Just tried out Resistance yesterday and it looks awesome. I know it's not as good as a Samsung or Sony, but the difference is very minimal and you still get a good experience from playing your Playstation 3 games on the Vizio.

I actually am going to pick up a Wireless Adapter soon for my Xbox 360, so I can make the switch from my room to the living room, because I am playing my Xbox 360 on a 20" Insignia CRT Monitor. It looks nice, but it would look better on the Vizio.
