Not necesarily a 1 gigabyte memory stick. The one you get with your system should be enough for the save games. But if you want to add music, pics and movies to it you might want a bigger memory card.

I have a 4 gig memory card, cost me 50 bucks. they should be cheaper now.

it was between 50 and 60 bucks earlier this year. I bought it at Circuit City, but it's a SanDisk though, not sony.

SanDisks are still 50 bucks at Circuit City and Best Buy. They are about as cheap as it gets. However, I got my 4GB at Fry's electronics for $40. It's a Lexar, but it works great. I think it was only at my particular one, so I cannot say it's the same for all Fry's stores.

You don't have to get a Gig worth of memory. If you only saving games, a basic 32MB stick should do just fine. They cost around 12 dollars on ebay

Yeah, 32mb should come with the system. I upgraded to a gig though 'cause I wanted room for demos, saves, photos, and TV shows.

Actually no. Thememory stick comes with the core system, only in the $200 bundle. I bought a corepsp a while ago and just bought a core psp slim and they don't come with memory sticks. But yeah a simple 32mb memory stickis a good buy for like $10if all you want is to save games.

But, if you want to play music or save pictures and download demos, you'll definitely need something 2 gigs or larger. I would suggest a 4 gig for music, demos and pictures. I have like 3 demos, 150 songs,25 saved games, and 100 pictures and I am almost out of space with that only beinga thirdof my music collection.
