I just wana know a few things about what it can do....well besides games of course.

1. I know it plays music....sooo... is it a decent alternative to an Ipod?

2.Its plays videos right? I don't mean the UMDs....I mean can I play video from stuff I have saved on my PC on it?like can I transfer stuff from my PC to a memory stick or something and put it on the PSP.

Well, first off, it is basically like an Ipod, also, you can browse the internet, download pictures, and yes, you can download things that you have on your PC, but sertain things you might have to convert to PSP format.

Yeah I forgot pics....I wouldn't think that normal pics would need to be coverted to PSP format...since thier just pics right? Or maybe I'm wrong......sooo...anyway how do you get things from your computer onto the PSP? Do I need a USB wire or something?

First off, I won't recommend PSP as a MP3 player, buy a standalone player. PSP's max sound is pathetic. It's not the actual speakers that are the problem but the fact that Sony for some reason dosent want PSP owners to enjoy loud music. If you are in an area with a moderate amount of sound (the bus) and turn the sound on max, you will barely be able to make out voices/sounds.

Pictures and music are just drag n' drop.

For videos, you'll have to convert them to PSP's format with a program like PSPvideo9.

^(If you dont have a decent memory stick, you wont be able to use any of those features)^

I'll say you should just save your cash and buy one new, but if you want to get one used...

So a program like PSPvideo9 can be downloaded from the internet right?

Also the reason I said Id get a used one was because...well.....I'm not trying to start any system war,but....there really isn't alot of good games for the PSP,I think most already know that(even magizines and TV shows have said there are no good original games for the psp),and since both GTAs were ported to the PS2.......I didn't want to shell out the full $200 for a new one since I was not really gona use it for games games.

Thiers only one game I would like....you can guess which one.

all lies. psp makes a great mp3 player if you already have an ipod or another mp3 player, then yes, it may be better. but the psp is awesome provided you're willing to dish out for the memory card. and converted videos lose some quality (become somewhat blurry) but its definitely watchable and enjoyable, (unless youre really particular) all in all, a great piece of equipment :)

as an mp3 player its decent but not something to rival an ipod or something from creative.  as a video player its very good cuz my friend has an archos and they look the same.Â
