Since The Daxter Bundle's are hard to find...and some say might be gone forever!(or until they restock...)

should i just get A Star Wars Bundle Instead?(along with a mem stick and games)

I just got a Daxter bundle yesterday :) Find out when some place is getting a shipment (they don't know what will be in it, but Daxter might) and wait for it. That's the best way to get it.

I think you already answered your own question. you said you want it for xmas then get whichever one is avaliable. Memory sticks shouldn't be that much, 1gb is probabley only 20 now.

Get the star wars bundle because that is the only bundle availabe unless you find out when they get some in stock. The star wars bundle ain't hard to find and you will be happy that you have a psp instead of waiting for daxter. Even if you get the daxter bundle you are still going to have to get a bigger memory stick in the future for music, movies, etc.

I'd get the Core and a memory card or the daxter bundle. The Star Wars bundle would be a waste for me, personally.... Even though I'm a SW fan =/
