Warhammer 40,000

"WarHammer 40K - Squad Command" is a turn-based strat game where you take a six unit set of soldiers & armored through a set of objectives (destroy all enemy units, or get to a point and hold it on the map, etc). The graphics are great, the gameplay is phenominal, and most people overlooked it. It is NOT an MMORPG, and it has very little to do with "WarHammer", this is a scifi based game based off of the old tabletop miniatures war game.

If you have played "Dawn of War" on the PC then you've been dipped in the universe already. Buy the game. Used or new it can't be more than about $15 US, and if you like turn-based strat there is really nothing as good on a handheld (perhaps "EndWar", though I haven't playted it because I haven't gotten 100% on "Field Commander" yet. The game has great graphics and sound which really bring the WH40K story to life, and I personally LOVED it and yes, I STILL play it.

Not knowing the Warhammer universe shouldn't take anything away from the experience. It's a pretty straight forward game..

Warhammer is great, I finished it and then played EndWar about 25% through and gave up on it, Warhammer is much better.
