Warhawk and Resistance

hey, ive been searching for an online game that allows me and a friend to play split-screen online against other people. i was hoping COD4 would do it, but it does not, so me and my friends take turns after a number of kills each.

im thinking about getting warhawk, resistance, or possibly both and wanted to know if i could play with a friend on split-screen, not necessarily co-op but be able to join online games together.

Resistance has offline split screen co-op.

Warhawk has online/offline split screen up to 4 people. For online you cannot be in a ranked room though (i'm almost positive) Resistance has offline split screen but none online.
