Warhawk's multiplayer system and its gameplay look pretty awesome but im pretty hurt that there will be no single player campaign. I did it for Battlefield 2 on the PC so maybe i can do without it for Warhawk. What about you?

I wasn't really interested before, but now that I've seen the new video on ign I'm really looking forward to it. They found that most test players only enjoyed the multiplayer and the single player was no good. I'm glad they were bold enough to drop the single player and focus on the best aspect of the game before it's release. I'm sure the reviews will bash them for lack of single player but I think more developers should take the time to cater to their core audience before they release the game instead of trying to correct things later.
Even without the SP the game is looking great. I really depends if you wanted a half polished SP & multiplayer or a completely polished multiplayer experience. I really don't see how far the game could have gone in SP.
This looks like the kind of game that would be best played with online multiplayer. Yeah, I'm a little upset there's no single player mode, but there is another game that involves flying around destroying things with a cool single player mode called Lair. I will DEFINITELY get this game when it comes out.
I like the fact that they made it all multiplayer, you know they are putting in alot of time and effect into it so you know the experience will be one of the best online gaming you'll have.
I will buy it if its an enjoyable experience online. Also I believe they could probably add the Single Player assets they have been working on so far later on after the game has a player base. Im sure they will be updating the online component with new maps and the like.
My main reason for wanting this game before was single player- i don't do much, if any, online play. With that gone I may have to give this one a miss.
I need to hear more about this game. Is it a download only game that costs $20? If so, then for sure I'll buy it. Is it a retail game at $60? I don't see buying it then.
To be honest the singleplayer portion looked quite bad with no real aim/focus and the AI looked silly. Though thid online only Warhawk doesn't bring anything new (from what we have seen, I would like to see destructible bridges and lots of bots following the players/ defending the bases) or does anything better than the other online multiplayer games it does look more fun than what Warhawk had become. It's also good for the PS3 library having more diversity instard of two Lair like titles (where Lair clearly would have won). I'm not hyping this game to be amazing but I hope it will be good or even great.
Your Poll answers are horrible, Whats so hard about a simple "yes, no, maybe" ?  I wont be buying this game, doesnt appeal to me, but will be downloading the inevitable demo.
I know some people think that with no SP the game is not worth it, but there are a lot of Online only games on the market that are really good, and hopefully Warhawk will be one for the PS3. Depending on the scores I may or may not pick it up, and I'm kind of disappointed graphically wise, but if it's a great game i'll pick it up.
I absolutely suck at online games and usually try to avoid getting schooled by some sixth grader who has nothing better to do with his time than play, but this game looks great and it's been a long time since I've played a game that allows you to do so much. Actually I think Star Fox 64 was the last game I played that was even similar. Man, I'm getting old.
If the game has a good free mode tutorial and allows me to host a friends only game with bots I'll be fine. Games like these are all about the multiplayer anyways even though it is nice to step out of that mode and kill some drones in single player. I see what the developers are thinking lets just hope they don't miss the plate.
Id say about 75% of people who play Socom never even looked at the single player, no biggie I just hope iis not a full priced game.  The land action looks cool, gives me an idea what the next socom might be like.
In the IGN interview they basically said that the single player would have sucked so they want to give everyone a awesome polished multiplayer experience.
I find it rather surprising that they do not have more to show after so many years of development. oO The must be more to it.
Is it me or did the game seem to run really smooth, like 60fps? I know that a game's frame-rate can't be seen on a video but being so fast paced it needs to run at a high frame-rate for the sake of control precision.
Anyway, the game should be stripped off its Warhawk title as the focus has completely changed.
I loved the original game, and Incognito has made some of my favorite games on the Playstation consoles.
Given their quality of past games that contain every aspect, a strict focusing on multiplayer should likely make this one of the best online games out there.

same, but the devs claimed it wasnt working and we wouldnt be happy with it. and if only money grew on trees they might have redid the whole thing, but its probably been a big drain on them. i give the devs cool points for basically coming out and saying the single player sucks, instead of making us buy a crappy game.
the multiplayer still looks real fun, and i want to play warhawk again no matter the cost! :)

thats why im hoping they add the flying ships online, ya know, kinda like in BF2142. i wanted Sp warhawk to blow the crap outta those, so hopefully it'll be in a level
