im so glad that it takes an Anti aircraft turret a LONG time to blow up the dropship.....the side turrets for the pilot rocks...and the homing missles for 6 people on the top is amazing as well...its nice and balanced..overall that dropship is going to be amazing!!
Though it does have firepower it does sacrifice speed. I believe it would just be used mainly for defense and team transport. But I got to say that was AWESOME. Can't wait to get it.
Balance isnt something you really need to be worried about. When you can kill an aircraft with 3 well placed sniper rounds and the tank isnt an unstoppable force I think they are smart enough to balance it properly.
I don't think it's really gonna affect the balance once people get the hang of taking those things down. Because while it takes a while to kill those things, they are reallllly slow and make great targets.... but OMG. It's gonna be so much fun.
I can easily see that sound it makes (u-woah, woah, woah) scaring the $h!t out of me if I hear it coming my way and I'm all alone protecting the base or something....
I realy hope this expansion will be goin from free to a max of 2 bux.......a new vehicle, 1 new map and old map re-edit isn't enough to make an expansion worth it.....i mean...they could have atleast put in 2 new vehicles and a new warhawk...new weapons...how about a warhawk bomber with nuke-like bombs???....that would have been awesome.
my concerns are same as others that it'll affect balance. Balance is Warhawks greatest strength, so I trust they'll get it right. One of my freinds complaints about warhawk is that there were no APCs. This is definately an awesome answer to that. I think this will grap a field focus when one of these floats across. A couple hawks and a missile launcher can take it down, but itll mean a little teamwork, and anything in Warhawk that bolsters more of a teamwork mentality is good for me.

the map looks futuristic and the dropship will add more massive fun to the gameplay. im hoping they give the dropship more life because from the video footage, it looks like it can blow up easily if there's 2 or 3 warkhawk enemies blasting it with missiles. hopefully that's not the case. what I really want to see Incognito do is add some mechs to the game. have our players mount to a mech like robotech or warhawk being able to transform to mechs. now that is something im sure incognito can do but they never thought about it. If mechs are available in this game.... i'll be all over it. Hopefully warhawk 2 has them.
