warhawk online just gets better and better

Besides the issues with rank and voice chat, the gameplay is just is so smooth. I love how easy you can transition in between ground and air combat. As i get use to the controls I love it even more. I am still not used to the warhawks but I love how far you can see into the distance and sniping away!!!! Definately a bit of a learning curve and since I don't have hours each day to play, I feel like I am finally starting to get the hang of it. How about you guys, what do you think so far?

yes there is a learning curve but it is easily overcome with a few days of play

I was in the beta and after some time playing the game I did not think I would be purchasing this game. Mainly, because it is not my style, I am more of a tatical shooter rather than a run and gun style player.

Well, last week I broke down and bought the game. I needed a new headset (my old ps2 socom set has just about had it) and thought, what the hell. . . I enjoyed the game mostly when I was testing it.

I have to say, I've only started playing the game about 2 days ago, but I can't get enough of it now. For some reason I love it more now than during the beta. I must say that I do not partake in many ground confrontations. . .I can't get enough of the warhawk planes. . .I've basically been playing the game as strickly a flight game. I love the dogfights in the air and can't get enough of giving ground support from the air when needed. I must say, however, that I get picked off pretty quickly when trying to help out in the air to ground situations. I can hold my own in the air to air stuff though.

Anyways, my 2 cents. . .It's a blast to play. I may venture onto the ranked servers tonight for the first time. I have a feeling I will be owned tonight.

It's so true. I mean, every weapon/vehicle as an equal amount of pros/cons. This has the been the first online shooter I've enjoyed and Iusually suck at online shooters!

very true i love warhawk i have been a big fan of the bf series on my pc for years . when i played warhawk i thought yes i have a great online game for my ps3 well worth the money

Just wait until you have one of those true Oh CRAP moments. Like flying a Warhawk over your captured flag as it escapes in a jeep only to follow it into a tunnel and find a big old enemy tank sitting there aimed in on you. Or when you hop into a tank and pick up a buddy with a RPG to take down Warhawks, nothing short of a TOW can bring you down. Or you scream over a bridge in a jeep running over 5 or 6 guys while honking your horn. Or..............

Warhawk is SO SICK.... im lovin it more and more... becoming more comfortable with the controls and developing my own style... lately ive been upsessed with the mines.... set up a bunch of them on a bridge or through a cave.. .and just crouch in the bushes waiting for the 4x4 to make his daring escape with the flag.... then B00m! ... i swear i haven't had this much fun online since the original quake when online was an all new experience...

there are endless amount of unique battle situations... it never gets old...theres sometimes u get all gittyand i can't even talk in the mic.. cause there so much madness going on at 1 time....

i absolutely love the medium tanks... (wich makes me think... on a future update there gonna drop some Heavy tank on us... ) can't wait for some updates...

my next task is to get a grip on the sniper rifle.. i keep freakin missing my shots ...

The game is great but I'm surprised that nobody here has mentioned the disconnecting problem. If you go to the playstation.com forums, many people were having trouble logging in due to update issues.

I myself am experiencing this problem. It seems that whenever I try to join a game that is clearly available, the message pops up saying that the game is full or that there's simply a problem with the connection.

I haven't had any issues like that myself. Only reason I ever get disconnected is because my internet connection likes to go down more then $5 hooker.

Yes I love this game, although I suck with the warhawk. I hope the next game in the series has a single player story, and they use the killzone 2 grafix engine or the unreal 3 engine.pirategunner

The transition is smooth. I play it over a bridged ethernet and zero lag. Logged 24 hrs gametime so far. The game is worth the $40 or $60 if you want the headset. It is a good buy. I am stilling learning the details. On some nights I only play infantry. On other days, I only play warhawk. On other day, I would play only vehicles. This way, I can get a feel of which style I like and find the game fresh each time I play. I find I am good on defense. But lately I have been playing a lot of infantry and vehicles to capture zones for the team instead of just getting more kills. Great game for any gamer.

Warhawk is spot-on what a vehicle-based online shooter should be. I can only hope that future updates and map packs build more and more on that. I would personally love to see some more vehicles added in future maps, but even if there isn't, I will still be very satisfied with this experience.

I hope Quake Wars and UT3 will be able to give an experience that is of the same quality or better than Warhawk.

I usually get FULL when I try to connect. But that is understandable cause their server is only getting the stat from the game server every once in awhile. Like 5, 10 ,15min.... who knows... But if you play Counterstrike, you know what I mean, I get FULL a lot on CS too... I just keep trying a different server till I find one that has a free slot. Take around 5-10min to find out. I don't hope they update the UI so it is easily to find servers and quicker too.
