alright, i finally bought a ps3 recently, so now i need a game. I checked and the only games out there that seem decent are warhawk and oblivion. I need a game which is fun, will last long and will look good on my hdtv. Is oblivion really good on ps3 rr should i just aquire it for free on pc? Is warhawk in any way better than the battlefield games or other pc shooters of the same genre?

I don't think Oblivion is any cheaper on PC, pretty sure it's not actually,
but, comparing it to warhawk is just weird..
I mean...apples...oranges...both good...way too different to compare.

If your getting oblivion...get it for computer..it has MODS...make the game crazy, adds way more replay...google oblivion mods on youtube...but yeah, warhawk owns, and you can get for like 34 dollars used..

i have cod4 on pc. And yes I know they have different, but these are the only choices of games that will last me more than a weekend. Also notice that i said "acquire", not buy oblivion:)

sigh, there sure isn't a great selection...

Are you kidding me? Warhawk and Oblivion are the only two good games? Yea right. Try CoD4, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, and many more. And you cant compare warhawk and oblivion because they are two completely different games.

He wasn't comparing the two games. He was just asking which game would be more fun and would keep him busy for about a week.

got cod4 and loving it. Played resistance at friends house, thought it was garbage. I'm not into kiddy games and ratchet is just not my type of game. Uncharted looks awsome but thats a sure rent- no way am i paying for a 12 hour game.

I think everyone will agree that CoD4 is an awesome game and will have fun playing online for quite a while. I play resistance all the time and I think its a great game. Ratchet and Clank is an awesome game even though it looks kiddy, its fun as any game can be. Uncharted has lots of unlockables to keep the game fresh for a while. All of these games are great. I respect your decision but all of these games have to be played.

umm, so can anybody who has played bf1942 or 2, joint operations, quake wars or any other such games on pc comment on warhawk? I've heard good things about it, but from the videos it just looks like a cartoony, inferior version of those titles. What makes it so special?

I played battlefield 1942 and loved it. But when I played warhawk at a friends house, I did not like it that much. Maybe just because its the controls that make the difference between these two games.

Well, resistance seemed like a brainless run and gun shooter thats really got nothing on such titles as crysis imo. I was also very dissapointed with the graphics. I actually downloaed the demo for ratchet, will try it later tonight. Uncharted will still be played but I am not a fan of replaying single player, so why not rent it and beat it in a few days?

Never played BF 2142, but Warhawk is awesome. I play it a lot more than oblivion although Warhawk has a high learning curve.

I hate most TPS games and I liked Warhawk,
mostly because it has lots of airplanes, and various other vehicles.
I dunno, did battlefield have airplanes?
