My Worst fears of GTA4 have been realized when you start up the game during the introductory cutscene

THE DARN THING FREEZES

this is happening everywhere not just to my friends but EVERYWHERE!

Use of CAPS is not necessary.

6 out 6 people I have talked today did not experience the dreaded freeze. Sucks that it happened to you, but still no cause for hysteria.

6 out 6 people I have talked today did not experience the dreaded freeze. Sucks that it happened to you, but still no cause for hysteria.

Many people say that if you re install the game it'll most likely solve the problem. Have you tried that? If so, don't panic I'm pretty sure they'll release a patch soon enough.

i did have a game freeze with my 60gb ps3 but after that 1 freeze its fully workin no freezes what so ever

I have been through the forums since before this game even released, through the issue, up til' now and I just got my copy today and over 10 times I have restarted the system, I haven't even gotten a real chance to play it because if freezes every time. I haven't even gotten in an hour. I deleted the intial install and installed again, still doesn't solve the problem and have yet to see any real resolution, I've also done the formatting, not only quick, but have done a full format. This is some real BS, can't wait to see if there's any resolution, soon I mean, being that I can't even play the damn game until something happens.
